first off

How much do you all think a AC repair could range from? Yea yea I know there are a thousand things to take into consideration but here's what I got.

I've bought some ac refill stuff from AutoZone and it will take the charge, but I can hear it leaking out when the engine is shut off. 2 cans completely leaked out in about 30 mins. So I know its leaking pretty bad but it seems the components all work cause the air will blow out cold.

So best to worst case scenarios, how much could I expect to pay to have this fixed?

second

a pat on the back for me! I changed my ECT and TSU yesterday. Sure it took me 3 hours and 2 trips to the parts store but its done!

Find the Leak

If you can hear it hissing out, can you guesstimate where it is hissing from, i.e. closer to the front of the engine, or back towards the firewall, or somewhere inbetween? This will atleast narrow down the items that are broken and/or need to be replaced. If it is one of the connections then you will need some O-Rings, but I don't think I've seen a connection that leaked that much gas that quickly unless it was flat out disconnected. Could be a leak in the evap or condensor, or the seals on the compressor. Location of the hiss could help and tell alot :)

yea, i know i dont have many details about it

i was wondering just like a huge ballpark price range, like "might be a $5 seal, or 1000 parts and labor to replace the entire system"

sorry, i know the question is a little vauge thanks for responding tho!

O-ring/spring kits are only a couple of bucks from AutoZone.
OTOH, if a line is blown, the expensive one costs well over $100 dealer price... The muffler line wasn't even available when I checked a couple of years ago.

Cost could be the cost of ac service and an oring $20-60,or it could be a supply/return line that has a hole and is leaking, condensor or compressor seal all of which are several hundred dollar parts not including the servicing of the system.
