Not sure about the debris retention and double sided tape, but these have a unique fastening system and they fit tight against the caliper. They are attached to the caliper with clips at the top and bottom. It would be hard to have any debris get caught between the cover and the caliper.

Un-biased opinion here, they cheapen the look of the car to me. Akin Auto-Zone stick on carbon fiber imo... They don't even look real or technical, just look like a cover. It's your car and do with it what you please, I'm just sayin.

I have to agree. Not a fan here. I do however feel that a larger brake disk and caliper setup would look way better behind that massive wheel I do not prefer this option. If it were my car I would have either upgraded the brakes or left it stock. That said sticky rubber and track time would also be something my car would have had shortly after purchase so the need would be greater for me to have powerful brakes over your average owner.

Holy *****, Mark -- the sun actually came out and you got some dry pics.

Lookin' real good -- Those covers look better every time I see them. Did you put the SHO stickers on and if so where did you get them?
Love the stripes too. Very nice touch.

I see you're a pro now at posting pics full size......kudos..

YOU DA MAN --- :salute:

honestly I'm not a fan of caliper covers either.. whats the point? Im not kidding... whats the main reason for them?

if I do anything to my calipers itll be taking them off and getting them powdercoated.

Nothing wrong with a no vote Nate...no worries. They're not for everyone but we like 'em.

Same reason people paint rims, stock calipers, paint engines, buy engine dress up kits etc. for looks.

Id never put them on my car but i dont think they're the worst things in the world.

Actually the SHO is machined into the cover, along with the hex head bolts. They actually fit an Allen wrench. The pictures don't show it, but both are either stamped or machined into the cover...the near part is that the back off the cover is flat. Only from the front can you see that there is depth to the writing and heads.

Good for you, glad you would take off the calipers and get them powdercoated. These are strickly an appearance item. I think the covers look much better then painted calipers, just think it gives a cleaner look. Besides, I am not taking off the calipers to paint or powdercoat, when the covers install in 10 minutes and I think they look better then the caliper. BTW, I've seen a lot of other stuff folks have done that I would also ask...what's the point.

I noticed that too......

I wonder who he learned that from??

:thankyou: I am doing a "mea culpa". When I posted the photos I was so shocked that it worked that I forgot to thank Mike for the great help in telling me the quickest way to post photos. Again I owe Mike for his help. :thankyou:

still not my thing but in the second set of pics they look a lot better! and IMO i think that if you could have gotten them in the candy red, they would look ten times better.
thanks for sharing

Was really undecided about color, but decided to go with the satin because (I thought) it blended with the wheel color.
