Ok guys maybe you laugh I have no clue but I need help. I have a 1995 sho that will turn over but will not crank ( it will crank maybe 1 a week for 2-3 min then die). Spark plugs replaced fuel pump replaced. Now I am at a loss. Everything looks great but it will not crank. My wife says sell it but I want to fix it so can someone give me any ideas? Someone told me it could be the crankshaft position sensor just thought any ideas would help. This is my first and only sho it has never ran since we got it.

I'm not sure if I understand. It only cranks once a week? If I read your post correctly it sounds like you have a bad battery. Will it crank if you jump it?

Thats correct and no we have checked the battery and charged the battery and even tried jumping it off. It gets power and yes 1 a week we would try to to crank it and it would crank up then die after 2-3 minutes. I am at a loss however the past 2 weeks it has not cranked at all just turnes over as usual.

You will have to tell us what you mean by crank.
Does crank mean almost start, but never quite does?
Does crank mean simply rolling over the motor using the starter?
Let us know.

so the engine turns over with the starter, but it never fires?

pull a plug wire off and check to see if there is spark when it is being cranked. report what you find and we'll direct you.

Who replaced the plugs?
Other than the fuel pump, what else has been changed / disturbed recently.

that is the only thing other than the spark plugs that I replaced. However it was doing this before I even replaced either of those things.

In a case like this, I would wait for Rubydist to return an answer to your problem, since he is already involved. He, and a few others, have an uncanny way of getting right to the source of a no-start problem. I am just shooting from the hip when it comes to this.

So the crank but no spark on these engines can have the following causes:
- bad crank position sensor
- bad coil
- bad dis
- bad pcm
- bad related wiring
- sick cam sensor is a slight possibility

Since the symptoms just appeared after changing plugs, my suggestions are:
1. check to be sure that the ground between the intake manifold and the firewall was reinstalled after the intake was reinstalled (assuming you removed it to change the plugs)
2. check to be sure that the small connector is properly connected to the coil pack.
3. check to be sure the dis is properly connected.
4. if all of those check out well, and there are no codes stored at this point, I would change the crank position sensor.

If you do all that and it still doesn't start, give us and update on exactly what you did and we'll give you more direction.

Ok this was going on before we got the car and changed these things. I did change the crank position sensor two months ago it made no difference same issue. I did check the following things you stated a few months ago. That is why I am at a loss right now. I can not figure what else to do or where to go from here.

Thank yall for all the help. My wife is even getting out there and helping where she can. Cause her car is needing a new transmission and I convienced her it is cheaper to fix this car than replace her transmission in hers. I am researching on my own to but yall are helping alot.

that means you didn't do it correctly, since you will get a "111" if everything is fine. make sure you have the jumper wire in the correct terminals.
