**Got the vehicle towed to my brothers in Pierre, SD. Thought I just blew a headgasket, but went to do a compression test and shot coolant out of the front /right cylinder when I turned the motor over... Just had a basic tool set so I was unable to dig into it any further.***

For Sale is a 1995 Ford Taurus SHO that has been built for both performance AND reliability! The motor has been swapped from the 3.0l to the 3.2l. They both have the same HP (220 stock) but the 3.2l has better Torque (215 vs 200). The 3.2 was stripped down to the block and cleaned. Everything was checked as it was being rebuilt, and anything that wasn't perfect was replaced with NEW! Here is a list of things done:

Engine:
-3.2l block
-3.0 Cams used for better mid/ high rpm power (checked and shimmed properly)
-New Thermostat
-New Rod Bearings
-All New Gaskets
-New Crank Sensor
-New Alternator
-Nearly New Clutch and Flywheel (I had 4-5 to choose from)
-Timing Chain Checked (excellent condition still)

PERFORMANCE Parts:
-Ported Intake (Powdercoated Mirror Red/ Gloss Black/ Chrome)
-Big Bore Butterflies
-Gasket Matched
-SHOsource Equal Length Y-Pipe

-FULL Leather in great shape (except for one of the drivers bolsters)

Issues:
-Moonroof doesn't currently work
-A/C doesn't work. (may just need charging. Never run A/C in vehicles with it anyway)

I have personally owned 9 SHO's over the past 10 years. This SHO was built to be dependable, but yet still have fun with. You shouldn't have to do anything to it for the next 60,000 miles other than regular maintenance. Also included in the sale will be a mint condition replacement headliner. (95% break when being repaired) Also included is the complete 1993 Shop Manuals Including Vacuum/Electrical/Diagnostics. Comes with stock Y-Pipe incase your need it for emissions.

UPDATE: My wife, while just a few blocks from home, hit an ice patch just after a school zone this morning and rolled her Tahoe! Tahoe spun 180° and hit the curb with the front/drivers wheel. Rolled onto the drivers side and slid 20-30' and then almost rolled onto the roof. Ended up slamming back onto the drivers side and shattering the windows on that side. She ended up almost pinned because the steering wheel wouldn't move, but freed herself and climbed our the passenger window. Told police she felt fine and they released her. A little later she felt lightheaded and we took her to Urgent Care. Started to do some tests and when they touched her neck, she had pain shoot down her back. They put a neck brace on, and we went to the ER. They ran tests and did an MRI and Xrays. Said everything was fine and released her (took off the neck brace also). We ended up going to our Chiropractor who looked at the Xrays and discovered something. Her 3rd Vertebrae was twisted to the Left, and the 5-6 were to the right! She now has to go to the Chiropractor 2-3 times a week and also get "light" massages at the same time! We had full coverage, but not car rental added. We are purchasing the Tahoe from her friend, and still owe $2,800 so won't get much back from Insurance. It was a 2000 Tahoe LT with 324k miles. Anyway, I need to sell my SHO now more than ever to get us both vehicles! PLEASE BUY IT!!!

I live in Thornton Col and already own a red 93 SHO Red ATX. I "loaned " an employee my SHO a year ago and he kept it. Trashed it and now it's in the shop. So I may be interested but had some questions:
1. Can I get some detail photos of the interior ( [email protected])?
2. Any major repairs needed. I see the AC is bad what's wrong with it? And the Sunroof same question ie motor switch? I see you are leaving for another job, but could you or Fred ( Ruby Dist) get these fixed before I bought it or after? I don't trust any mechanics I have had so far in Denver
3. Clean Carfax or could you email me the vin so I could check it out?
4. Do you have anyone like AutoMD to test the major parts before laying out $3000?
5. On the headliner you say "break" does that mean the one in the car now is toast or is the new one just a spare? What other parts would come with it?
6. I work in Arvada M-F 8-6pm so it is hard to get up to Loveland is there anyway I could see or drive it there 80th & Sheridan or 104th and Colorado Thornton.
7. IF I bought it as I said I am single so could someone drive you down to Thornton to deliver the car?

Wish I would've seen this post 1 1/2 weeks ago, I'd have traded a clean, great running '03 Nissan Murano for it.....but sold it a week ago. Now all I have to offer for trade is a '64 Dodge 330 with 53k original miles on it, a straight body and near perfect interior....though it hasn't been started in a decade, but ran great last time it was started.........but as you said, you need something that runs good and is reliable, I wouldn't put a half decade old car in that category.

Hey guys! Sorry for not getting back to you. It didn't notify me that anyone had posted.

2) Only "major" repair I've discovered is that when dropping in the motor, one of the coolant/radiator lines that runs on the passenger rear corner of the firewall got pinched and possibly cut lightly. I have to add a little coolant every few weeks. I sometimes get a burning coolant smell because it drips on the Y-Pipe. I also think that it needs a new oil pan gasket. With it being lowered, every once in a great while there are dips on the highways that are just enough to scrape, and squish the pan to the motor.
3) Clean CARFAX, but I can send you the vin as well!
4) No, I do not. Fred went thru everything, and I trust him.
5) The current headliner is saggy, but not terrible. The new headliner was in the back of the Tahoe when it wrecked, and the Headliner broke a little. 2 Fuel Rails cone with including injectors ( One 3.0 and One 3.2 set) Stock Y-Pipe for emissions. Various Black trim pieces. Complete set of 1992 Service Manuals! (Electrical Diagrams/Vacuum & Electrical Troubleshooting/Shop Manual) Set of Valve Covers.
6) This is the big issue... I'm moving back to South Dakota in about 5 hours... I will be back around Christmas, or you could fly to Sioux Falls, SD for $135 round trip, or $68 one way.

Alright guys, sorry for not responding/posting as quickly as I should've lately. Price dropped to $2,000 because over Thanksgiving while moving to South Dakota, I somehow cracked the head or block. Oil level was fine, and coolant was fine before I left Colorado. Gauges were reading normal until it happened. I passed a vehicle that was doing 55mph in a 65mph, and had about a 1/2 mile later, I saw a little smoke coming from the exhaust. Pulled over and shut the car off but as I'm pulling it over its chugging smoke. Waited a few minutes to cool down, and checked the fluids. I had no coolant in the reservoir, and none that I could tell in the radiator. also, checked the dipstick, and read no oil. I had checked the oil about 150 miles earlier and was reading fine. Anyway, I got ahold of Fred (rubydist) the following and he said I should do a compression test. Got a tester and hooked it up to the front/left cylinder. Started to turn it over and had cooland shoot out of the front/right cylinder. We determined that the head or block was cracked. I just had a basic tool set in the trunk, so didn't dig any further.

I do have another 3.2 MTX motor sitting in my Storage Unit in Colorado with 3.2 cams that will now be included with the sale. It has 1,000 miles on the rebuild, and was going to go into Dan, (Silver93sho) SHO, but he decided he didn't want it.

Wow, sorry to hear about this. What causes the block or head to just crack like that?

Edit: Would it have cracked before hand and that's how it lost it's fluids or, perhaps it lost a radiator hose, block got too hot, then cracked and mixed it's oil with whatever coolant was left?

The only two things I can think of are:

1) After rebuilding the motor, I put Dex-Cool in instead of the regular green. I was planning on installing a Killerglass Radiator hose. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcnufeO2VeQ
I did a Coolant flush a couple weeks earlier and switched back to Green. I know I got everything out, but maybe the coolant fairy threw a little in and it turned milky.

2) Every once-in-awhile when driving down roads and there are huge dips that aren't marked, you scrape the oil pan slightly, which also squishes the pan gasket. I don't remember scraping any time driving it from Colorado to South Dakota (it was 6 weeks ago) but maybe I did and there was a leak out of the pan gasket that I didn't know about...

When it started smoking, the first thing I did was look at the Temp gauge, which was reading normal. I'm baffled.
