1994 Ford Taurus SHO
Asking $2,500 OBO

condition: excellent
cylinders: 6 cylinders 3.2L
odometer: only 44,*** miles
paint color: white
title status: clean / FL
transmission: automatic

Never wrecked, garage kept. Auto trans. 3.2 v6. Super Clean inside, no rips or stains. Leather power seats with lumbar support, working sun roof (button works but is loose in the bracket)

An extensive amount of work was just performed on this vehicle including;
New brake booster, master cylinder, spark plugs, oil change, water pump, timing belt and pulleys, timing belt tensioner, radiator hose and radiator cap and a few coolant lines, new vacuum line, new ignition coil pack and harness, new ignition control module, new crank shaft sensor, new serpentine belt and tensioner, new battery and terminal ends, new master power lock and window switch, new air filter, new idle air control valve. A/C blows ice cold. Original SHO wheels with SHO center caps.

Everything works, except rear window motors. Sunroof button needs to be refastened into the mount, but sun roof does WORK and does NOT leak. Rear view mirrors could use some paint. Will need a CD disc box, which can be found on Ebay easily. A little TLC and you will have a one of a kind daily driver. Car does need brakes and rotors, sway bar links, and a battery strap. Cheap and easy job, I just have too much on my hands. If I end up doing them, the price will be adjusted.

Very good Alarm system, ...almost too good... with working FOB. 3.2l DOHC V6, fast and clean. No rust, one of a kind car. 44k miles. Starts right up. Nice, stock dual exhaust. Tires are decent (A/T style) but could use replacement in near future, they hold air well. I am the third owner, this was my uncle's car he bought for his wife, from the Ford dealer (in Pennsylvannia) with only a few hundred miles on it when he purchased it. He was also a Ford tech and maintained the car to factory specs and kept it in the garage every night. I bought it a little while back and brought it to Florida. Clean Florida title in my name. Currently not insured or registered, but it was recently. I drive it around the industrial park to keep it moving. Body is in great shape, small ding above right rear wheel which is hardly noticeable, and a few small scratches by right front wheel. One scratch on one wheel. Some normal wear and tear chips on front bumper cover and around the lower sides of car.

I have a fuel filter for the car, and some random odds and ends but I wont be listing them all, hoses etc.

Deserves to go to a good home!
Yes it does. I figured this would be the place to find it a good home. It is in amazing condition and super clean. A lot of potential for the right person. I'm just more of a motorcycle and classic car guy!

Here is an update on my 1994 SHO. The coolant leak was taken care of. New water pump gasket and crossover pipe o-rings. Everything in the timing case is new, including the Crank Shaft position sensor. I also recharged the A/C, and it blows ice cold. I replaced a few lights in the instrument cluster as well. At this point, this car just needs brakes and sway bar links, and someone to drive it! The rear window motors were not repaired as of now, and the fuel door needs to be popped open with a credit card or whatever, need the cable fixed or adjusted... So far, everything else seems to be good on this car! You can see in the pics how clean and rust free the body is! I can not find any other SHO's this clean with this low mileage!

Owned 3 gen 2’s I’m interested in getting my son one. How flexible are you on price? We’d be flying down and driving back to Chicago

I'm somewhat flexible on the price. However, with the tires and brakes in the conditions they are in, too be honest I wouldn't suggest trying to drive this back to Chicago... After a little time in the garage it would be a good ride...
I did just have an unexpected issue with the crankshaft sensor I installed... Worked fine, but is now intermittently not starting. I've got another on the way, and with no issues it should hopefully be back together again tomorrow or the next day.

Well, I managed to track down a USED crank shaft sensor from a friend of mine that lives up North. He had it stored from a 3.2 SHO that developed a knock in the engine. He pulled the engine and some other stuff a while back to save before scrapping the car... Apparently, this was a long time customer's car, and my friend told me it had somewhere around 15-20,000 miles on it since doing the timing belt, waterpump etc. Hopefully it doesn't develop the same issues all of these sensors tend to, because like we all know on this forum, there are NONE out there!! I still have a few of my parts connections searching nationwide thru their friends and friends of friends... maybe one day there will be a lead on a new one sitting on a shelf somewhere...

Is the car still available? How’s it running with the used crank sensor?

The SHO is still available. I'm back to intermittent no starts again... she starts up and runs great when cold, even most of the time will restart no problem when hot. Other than that, this engine runs like new. When I had it apart recently, I decided to seal the water pump a different way then the stock single o-ring because they never seemed to last... I filled the aluminum in for the o ring on the water pump, and cut a paper/fiber gasket to cover the entire mating surface area. Of course that worked out great, and the sensor took a crap a week later! Crazy that with 44k miles on it, I'm being held back by a simple sensor...

If anyone's interested in the car as is, I'd really like to free up the space in my shop. If I take it out of here it's going to be exposed to harsh conditions, because I live on a dirt road in Florida... with how clean the body is, it doesn't deserve that! Someone out there's gotta want this, and not mind waiting til one of these sensors pops up to have a one of a kind ride!

Exactly like my first car back in 1997. Only difference is mine had the grey interior. If I could get what you are asking for my 2006 Chevy Trailblazer I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

It is still available and I am open to offers! If you end up selling the Trailblazer, let me know! Thanks.

Update on the SHO.

I got a hold of two used crank shaft sensors, one from SHO Source, and another through a friend at a salvage yard. I put the sensor from SHO source in the car today, and it fired right up. Running good. The other sensor is in a box of parts in the trunk which will come with the car, At this point, the car needs tires, rear window motors, brakes all the way around, sway bar links, and the rear valve cover gasket, which just started leaking. Please read the first post for the list of repairs done on this recently. I am open to offers on the SHO, and would like to get rid of it soon. Thanks for looking!

Hey everyone, I am highly motivated to get this SHO sold to move on with other projects that I have at my shop. I really have no interest in this car, and it is just taking up space at this point. I am dropping my asking price from $4,000 to $2,500, and I am still open to offers! You could probably part this car out as is, and make more than that back. Let me know if you are interested and we can chat some more! Thanks for reading!

That's an incredible price....someone is going to get one **** of a car......have you considered posting it on BaT or some other auction site? This car with higher miles than yours sold for 6k

Yeah, it is a very good price. I haven't tried listing it anywhere else, but did do local Craigslist ads. Thanks for that suggestion, I will look into those sites!

I am just considering how much this car still needs, even with it in great shape and super low mileage. The car still needs 4 new tires, brakes and rotors all the way around - possibly front calipers, sway bar links at each wheel, both rear window motors, battery strap, the elusive crank shaft sensor, and probably a few other things since it's been sitting. I still fire it up regularly at my shop, but still has the intermittent no start. I figured I would drop the price on it so the buyer has some extra cash to bring it to life and get it back on the road where it belongs. I've got a bunch of old Harley projects going on, so I really just want to see it go to someone who will enjoy it!
