Okay so my drivers side power window motor just quit on me. Seems like the regulator is fine, I believe the motor itself is stripped. So question is how do I get the motor out. I see it looks like some kid of bracket it’s in behind the outer door frame. Do I have to drill out some rivets to get the motor out? Notice the two rivers right next to the window motor on the left.

The motor is held to the regulator with 3 bolts. There are holes in the door to access the bolts. You need to drill out the two rivets holding the regulator to the door so that you can move the regulator back to get the motor out. Replace the rivets afterwards or just use short nuts and bolts. Too long a bolt and the glass will hit when going down.
