I just bought a NEW OEM Motorcraft coilpack for a 1992-1995 SHO with P/N E9DF-12029-AA
Now at the time I bought it and even when I recieved it last week I never bothered to check the connections because I always thought MTX SHO's and ATX's SHO used different connectors for there coilpacks.
The one currently in my MTX 1993 SHO has the bottom notch facing towards the front(left side when look at it from the filter side) of the car NOT directly in the center like the coilpack below does? PICTURE HERE:
So do I have to go through the hassle of returning this coilpack through eBay and pass up this "deal" or could I use this new coilpack by grinding off the offset notch on my connecter in my SHO to go around this coilpack that has the notch in the center?
Or is there anything internally between MTX and ATX coilpacks that doesnt make them compatible other than the plastic notch above??
