Does the SHO 3.0 liter Yamaha use the same radiator fan assembly as the 3.8 liter engine? The part numbers I get are FODZ8C607C for the 1990 SHO. Then I get F4DZ8C607C listed as being for a 3.8 liter engine. Does the 4 indicate another model year?

The Helms manual lists the radiator fan assemble ( cooling fan module)for the SHO engine and the 3.8 L engine as the same part number, that is 8C607. Anyone know if this is correct? Can I get a 3.8 L fan assembly and bolt it into my SHO? The 3.8 L. fan assembly is readily available but the catalog web page say only 3.8L. The SHO application is not listed.

I do know that the 2.5 L and the non SHO 3.0 L fan assembly IS different. Thanks, rangerj :salute:

RockAuto has different Motorcraft part numbers for the 3.8L (RF125) and the SHO 3.0L (RF1). They reference the same Ford part numbers you have so the fans seem to be different

4 is a 1994, whereas the 0 is a 1990. It means something has changed, but it doesn't necessarily mean that it won't work.

SHO Fan is SHO specific and has a very high output. You can try the 3.8 but you might have cooling issues. If the blades and shroud is good, have the motor rebuilt. I have soldered new bushings on GoofSHO a few times.
