1990 MTX Tranny Problems

For some reason, it is hard to shift into some gears, mostly second, but sometimes all of them. I really have to force it. It is like it clicks twice, once feels like it should be in there, but then it grinds when I let off of the clutch. It is kinda embarishing grinding the gears because it is not fully in gear. I did a search and found that it could be either a bad clutch, low on fluid, or ???. My 1989 MTX did not have any of these problems. It was always really smooth, and it had 30K more miles!? How do you check the fluid level on the MTX? WHATS THE DEAL!? shrug

I do not think it is a cold wether problem....It does when it is warm also. I think I will take it ot a tranny shop and see what they think.
