I have a complete engine pulled from a 1989 Taurus SHO. I believe original mileage was in the 180k range. I had planned on rebuilding and stuffing this motor into a Fiat x1/9, but have decided on a different swap instead. That decision means the motor needs to go to someone who will use it. It's still attached to the MANUAL transmission, so I'm including that too for the price.

It needs a rebuild, hence the low price. The donor car ran, but burned oil and smoked. Again, that's why my price is so low.

I also have the complete intake manifold, drive axles, and FULL wiring harness from the donor car, as well as the SHO Engine Control Unit. I'd be willing to sell all of those things for a little more.

I WILL NOT SHIP. Sorry. You have to come and get it. Newbury Park, CA 91320

Text is preferred. 916-612-7692 - cell. Thanks!

Sorry! I copy/pasted from my craigslist posting.

$200 for the engine. Make an offer on the other stuff. I need to get it gone.

Cheers,

I'll try to get some up. It looks like an SHO engine sitting on a crate, covered by a tarp and with paper towels stuffed in all the holes. It's oily. It should be rebuilt.

Not sure what's expected for $200 bucks... :thank you:

Cheers!

Wow, no takers at that price? What if I throw in the rest of the lot at the same price?

$200 gets you an engine, transmission, intake, axles, a full wiring harness (the whole thing from the complete car), and an ECU.

Take it all! :omgsho:

It should be good. Everything worked on the donor car, no codes, etc. Burned oil, but I don't think that would affect the sensor.

Would rather sell the whole thing... but willing to consider parting out.

Don't know what the sensor is worth, you tell me, and I'll pull it if no one wants the package deal.

Guys, I want this stuff gone... and I really don't want to mess with shipping or wrenching - too many other projects. I've got to thin things out. Isn't there someone out there who this is useful to? Maybe a swap into something else?

I'll take offers.

Cheers,

Cade

My son has agreed to begin breaking this motor for spares. Proceeds will go towards parts/tires for his kart.

As a result, I'm willing to ship parts now. We got the heads off today, they look to be in very nice shape. I also have all the ancillaries (minus alternator, which has been spoken for already, and the water pump, which is SHOt.)

I know the starter works, and the power steering pump. We've also got fuel rails, injectors, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, heat shields, cats/downpipe, etc.

If you're willing to reuse headbolts, we've got those, along with valve cover bolts and the pretty chrome trim bits. Oh, and a complete transmission.

Make an offer. I'll probably take it. Cheers,

I've got the heads and intake left, along with a lot of assorted hardware.

Pick up a set of heads for your build, and have them ready to go with no engine down time. Or use them for a core. Whatever... they're cheap!

And the intake is in good shape. Also cheap.

Lemme know!
