If you're going to be hand painting the emblems anyways, is there a reason you aren't going to just paint the stock emblems? I do like the unique look of your car, and I think it would be good to put an emblem on the front. I've seen offset emblems on CSVT grills, and I think it would compliment your car as well.

im going with no emblem although i would like to see it in a pic with you holding it in place or maybe through some double sided tape on there to give us a better perspective on what it would look like

Hey SHOspazz92, I am not a fan of his latest mod neither, but I think you were rude with your comment. It's not youtube here where people bash on each other... We are all friends here that share the same passion for our cars. Cheers man!

Hey steve142857, he posted those pictures on a public forum, asking for our opinion. I do not think it looks good, at all. There is good news however! It is HIS car and he can do whatever he wants with it, I'm also sure he can give two ***** about what some kid, driving a 1992 Taurus that uses 3'' Fiberglass Lawn edging as an air-damn (and thinks it looks good none the less), thinks about his car.

BPD has done some great things with his car, all of them nice and very well done in terms of quality, however it is in my opinion, that the grill does not look good.

Yikes, looks your car is wearing black lipstick.

-Sam

I have to agree here

if u painted the black lips around the grills back to body color, and maybe the mesh silver or something, it would look a lot cleaner. And if your gonna do a custom logo thing... put SHO on it or something, everyone already knows its a Ford, but it would be cool to have it signify that its a SHO on the front end... I can easily tell a gen2 SHO frontend from a SLO, but on the newer ones its harder until I see the rear.

In my opinion the car looks sweet. And plus one on the sho emblem instead I think it would look better than a ford emblem. Either in center or the corner. But I do believe no matter what you decide I think it will look great when your done

CLASSIC pic!!! Now plate should read "JOKER" on it! Good thinking Jimbo.

As for the topic at hand, I can't say either way really. I'm not digging the MS grille and I don't like the 2013 SHO grille either. They look to be too far recessed in the car and looks like a "scoop" to me. That's just my .02 worth. Nonetheless, whatever Mike likes is what matters, he's paying for the car, not us. Kudos for being different though! And I'm starting to like the white SHOs alot more now. :omgsho:

I say yes because it's too vast of an open area. You need something like the Ford Oval to break it up. I would have preferred the white edges, but if your goal was to be different....you definitely accomplished it.

On another note....Is one of your hood decals longer than the other? It could just be the photo....but it looks like the pass side decal is longer.

Bwahahahaha....... :laugh_ti:  :nut: :laugh_ti:

See, now this ****'s exactly what I'm talking about.... now that's fk'n funny as ****.

Hhhhmmmmm..... I wonder if I can find someone local to airbrush that image of the Joker across the entire hood?

Or make the nose, face, forehead etc on the hood and use the grill as the teeth?

I'm kidding ofcourse, but again, love the analogy. Y'all are so silly.
All joker aside, your white SHO looks really good. Just get that emblem on thurr...

Aright, well the mail (along with my ONE, custom black Ford oval emblem) just got delivered today.

Before bringing it over to the body shop to have them customize even further to my specification(s), I solicited the assistance of my youngest daughter to hold up the emblem in the upper grille.....

IDK fellas.... I'm not dig'n it. I still agree that that opening needs a little something, just not sure what yet at this point.

Maybe I'll borrow the idea of placing a small chrome "SHO" emblem in the lower corner, closer to the driver's side perhaps.

My preliminary thoughts on the placement of the Ford emblem in the upper grille, is that it's too big.

I like having that entire opening being so large that it almost gives the impression it can swallow up your child, or some small animal that happens to errantly run into my path as I'm motoring down the road.

Here's a couple of pics, take a look for yourselves:

Hey Mike, could you please take another picture with zoom out to see the perspective (and your girlfriend also...lol! just kidding=.
Thanks,
Steve

Dude, err ummm..... that's my youngest daughter you goof ball :nut:

Anyhow, too late for me to fulfill that request (at least for now).

I already dropped the part off at the body shop for further customizing.

Whenever I get it back from them, and prior to me permamently installing it onto the trunk lid, sure thing jelly bean, I'll make another picture go around at it.

The owner of the body shop agreed with me though, he said by placing the Ford emblem in the center of the upper grille (as shown in those pics I recently posted) it serves as more of a Detraction, rather than looking better.

IDK  Like I said, I'll figure something out. Just gotta let something inspire me.....
Oups, sorry, I couldn't see well, my bad...
I like what Crash did with the SHO emblem bottom right, maybe you could consider that too...
Sorry again, I meant it more as a compliment anyway. I am happily married!

I don't know Mike, it looks ok. Not sure if really compliments your car styling. I am of course a fan of the Sho emblem in the lower left corner. The only thing I would probably do different if I were you, is black lettering.
