I was just at the local Toys R Us and they had a 2010 Hot Wheel sized car. Pretty sure it was from Green Light but it might have been M2. Only saw black ones.

The model is, of course, made by Greenlight, model #29670.

We got our first six in today and I grabbed a couple of them as the color is the same as mine and although the detail in that scale is a bit lacking, it also looks as if it has the Performance Package wheels.

The seats seem to be the standard ones, not the massaging ones as the inserts are tan instead of black. No sunroof but it looks like it has the Navigation system display in the dash.

I'm going to punch out the rivets that hold the chassis to the body and see if I can paint the seats to match mine and also very, very carefully try to cut out a proper sunroof/moonroof with a Dremel tool and lay in a small bit of plastic in the opening to represent the roof open or as a moonroof.

We do a fair bit of business with Greenlight through my HobbyTown USA franchise and I have asked them if they would consider doing a 1/43 scale or even better, a 1/24 scale model of the same car. In that way, we could do a lot more detailing to represent our own specific models.

Hi Mike:

I don't know why it does not appear on their website as other than part of the assortment but it is available. I also don't know why they do not give the assortment stock number.

Sadly, for the moment you have to buy the assortment, Stock # 29670, as it is not offered as a separate item. If there is sufficient interest, I can ask them as one of their retailers if they would be willing to sell just that car.

These companies don't often do this on limited production current vehicles but I was at least a bit helpful in convincing Maisto to do a 1/24 scale 1999 Lightning and sort of in the same way for Tamiya to do a 1/10 scale RC 1999 Lightning. Let me know.

Ford brought about 200 of these to the last convention and handed them out, got mine displayed proudly on my office desk. Probably the closest I'll ever get to owning one!

I got my diecast today... it's Matchbox quality, but for $6, it's good. Stuck some velcro on the bottom and put it in the package tray.

I asked a member on here about getting one of those special diecast models that Ford handed out @ the convention last year. He said he would sell it to me for $150. What a ripoff. I told him to shove it

I went to the local Toys R Us a couple of weeks ago and asked if they had the new Greenlight Country Road Series and they brought down a new case which had 2 of the SHOs in it. For $10.00 I got the pair. They are nicer than Matchbox and Hot wheels (but they cost 5 times as much too). I wish GMP would come out with a 1:18 scale SHO.

Its not a ripoff, its called supply and demand.. I have a case of them and wont sell them.. (received from last years convention)

This year they gave out 1/24th scale cars, water bottles, bags, chairs, back packs, and t shirts..

I guess if you want a cool toy for free Ill see you at next years convention.. In North Carolina.

I'll sell ya mine for $140. :naughty:

Just kidding. I won't. Kirk is right, it's supply and demand. Show up to the convention next year and chances are you'll get something cool. We got some nice TAURUS pilsner and wine glasses this year in addition to the models and other door prizes. Then there's all the SHO memorabilia that's brought out for the auctions... There's lots of nice stuff to be had if you just make the trip.

There's quite a few of these Greenlight 1/64 scales on Ebay right now. Just bought one for $6. I'm glad that it's black just like my car :)
I love diecast cars. I have one for each car that I've owned over the years on my desk. They range from disappointing first cars ('75 Buick Century-lol) to my more current cars ('09 BMW 535i) and now the 2011 SHO!

Thanks for this thread guys! I'm still a kid at heart when it comes to my diecast cars! :thankyou:

You know it would be nice to make it to the convention, but not all of us make the money you guys do and can afford a trip like that. Which explains why I can't afford $150 for a small die-cast model. For those that have extra of these, I was just hoping you would consider helping out fellow SHO-owners that would like nothing more than to have one of these to hold onto for sentimental value, instead of selling them just to make a buck.

Start saving your pennies right now and you might be able to afford to go. If not next year, the year after. It really is worth it.
