1/4 mile times?

[Fast 3.4]

What will a SHO like ours do in the 1/4 mile stock? I have heard reports anywhere from 16.1 to 14.9s? I have been drag racing for years, and it feels like my SHO would fall some where in the mid 15s. Does anyone have some hard #s?

Depends on the air temp. My best is a 14.6 with noNOS or S/C and a few mods. This is with the temps in the upper forties.

Best mine went was 15.3 stock. That was by the previous owner. I haven't had a chance to run it at the track yet.

Thats pretty impressive, the best time I could get out of my old 1996 4.6 Cougar was a 15.4.
I had two other"race" cars before that. One was a 1990 GT, 14.45. The other was a 1992 Lx 5.0, 12.50s. Man, I can't wait for spring!

The quickest my SHO ran with the previous owner was a 14.3. Again being winter I've yet to make it out to thr track to see what I can do with it.

Karen's 99 got down to a 15.1 stock. They all vary due to the adaptive nature of the computer.

Mine came in at 15.1 with the only real mod for the drive train being the modified version of Porter intake. From what I have read of various people posting over the last few years, I would think that mid to low 15 stock is about average.

I have only been able to muster a 15.77@ 88mph... but it was hot, humid, and I had a coil skipping out on me.
No excuses... my '97 just isn't as fast as some, and faster than others.

15.4 @ 88.5MPH @ KCMO sping time cool night.... very little mods...... Advid Drag racer.....

1991 5.0 LX AOD 14.7 best (alot of bolt ons 140k on the clock) email mne off list I had few other things done but had not tuned the car yet.

1999 GT 13.88 MPH ? forgot (best) No mods street tires....... one run completed with axle hop for the first time

1998 SHO 15.4 see above

1995 Formula LT1 (friends) before we rebuild 13.7 on motor..... 100 shot 12.6, then after rebuild (have pics) 30 over hotter cam...... new tranny few other goodies on motor 12.6 I believe... and 75 shot ........ 11.90's the shut him down no roll cage I new we forgot something LOL.

HOW FAST CAN YOU GO IN STRAIGHT LINE!!!!!!

I've managed a 15.50 in my GEN3. I've got a Porterized intake and 3rd cat removed.
