Same i was talking about. No it is not a camera, it is a light sensor. They used to be the bulb on the dash.
Newer cars with ADAS have a front collision camera. But every 13-19 at least Taurus has this regardless of any special option

Depends on the vehicle. On vehicles with Lane Keeping, there is a camera mounted behind the rear view mirror.

This is a sho forum…
And the SHO with Driver Assist package comes with Lane Keeping. The camera is part of/mounted with the IPM-A (Image Processing Module). This is why windshield replacement can be so expensive and limited on who can provide it. It requires camera alignment. Also, if you go into systems like ForScan or the factory service tool, you will see the camera alignment procedure.

The IPM-A also provides calculated steering angle, driver alert warning, front camera status, hands off warning, lane departure status, lane keep request, road curvature, automatic high beam request, among other signals.

Is it possible to add the camera and enable lane keeping on a 2015 non-PP with all other options?
