I guess little update. Explorer hogging the rack that I am going to be using for the fabrication part so need to get that scrapped and then the taurus will go on. My tubing bender came in and we've theory built it a little bit. The stock unibody frame horns are wider than the explorers which is all good stuff because we might be able to fabricate off of those instead of full tub chassis the front. Simplicity will be key as much as we can have it.

The size of this thing is very misconceiving.

Took the radiator, intake and charge pipes off as those won't be used in the car.

Wanted to see what front diff ratio it had and it's magically exactly what I need! 3.31 to match the mustang 8.8 irs with 3.31 that will be used in the rear.

Also wanted to see some dimensions. It'll fit between the unibody the taurus has with about 6" to spare which is great. Better to have it too wide over too tight.

Really a super ugly engine lol. It's becoming very proven though.

Not really anything progress wise. Taurus got moved from my shop to my house to be transferred to the next shop for fabrication. Piping bender is in. Explorer got hauled to it's demise.

In other news my f150 went lean and the engine is in the process of getting replaced right now. Once that's back up I'll probably have a bunch of progress. Have a reman engine on the way. Coyote aren't cheap lol.

Truck should be back by the end of the month. Going to open up the reman to do a few things like gap the rings, oil pump gears and head studs. Then it's back to the main show with the taurus.

One thing I did find out is that the 10r80 that both of these have are same same but different housing so swapping the taurus with a coyote if it ever came to it would be a little extra work.

That totally sucks to hear about the F150. I’m not sure if you ever use CHATGPT to ask it about tuning or fuel advice. Here’s what it told me. IMG 0024

In other news being proactive and gapping the rings, head studs and gt500 head gaskets. Almost ready to go back together and put into the truck. Might build the transmission but unsure if I want to spend that money right now. Taurus going to resume as soon as the truck moving again.
