I have a quick question, and I have no experience with audio electronics. I have the JBL premium sound, all factory except for the Pioneer DEH-P845R HU I had professionally installed in '98 (yeah, it's old). My sub quit working a few years ago and I removed it. I've noticed that my system has very little bass at the rear speakers compared to the '94 SHO I once had, that didn't have premium sound.

Question: would the harness adapter that is used with the Pioneer HU and the JBL system limit the bass going to the rear speakers, because it was intended to include the sub?

Thanks in advance!

I dont know alot about how the stock setup is configured, but Id just imagine if it had a sub stock, then it had stock crossover settings. Chances are the sub was being sent everything under 120hz or so, and the rest of the speakers 120hz and up.

You removed the sub, now you have nothing playing anything under 120hz.

That makes sense to me... I'll look into it. I appreciate the feedback!
