Its on the left side of my trunk and not plugged into anything. I also don't see anywhere it is supposed to be plugged in. Anyone have any ideas? I do have the JBL stereo upgrade and that works fine, as well as my keyless entry. Its a 1993 atx if that matters at all.

The picture I meant to post originally:

its probably the re-programming connector for the keyless entry

It's where the person in your trunk puts his/her finger in so you can see on the pulse monitor on your dash if he/she is still alive.

This post is worthless with crappy pics........

I don't think so, you can make out the shape of the plug and about how many pins there are, there cant be that many plugs back there. Sorry I do not own a digital camera and my 1.3 mega pixel pos 4 year old cell phone is the best I got.

I have to +1. There are two plugs to the remote keyless module, this looks like one of them.

ok just looked and bot the keyless plugs are plugged in, this plug goes into a harness that runs above the amps behind the sub box, and comes from the front of the car it seems.

how could my keyless work though if it is unplugged? ok I am going to go look at it right now.

Just so we are clear... Do you have a remote that you can open the car with? Or are you refering to the keypad?
The keypad is Keyless entry
The Remote is Remote Keyless entry.

yup, both work, all the buttons on the remote, I can unlock all doors and pop the truck with the keypad, all my interior lights work, trunk light etc etc.

No.

All electronics aft of the dash are controlled/powered by two body-harnesses that start near the base of the driver's and passenger's A-pillar (ie. by your feet) and extend aft toward/into the trunk.

The primary harness has the Illuminated Entry Module connector shown in your "image". The Secondary harness includes wiring for the Keyless Entry Module, if the car was equipped with that/those options. If it was so equipped, there will still be the harness connector for the Illuminated Entry Module since it is on the other harness which is not used.

Hands free car kit connector ;)

It's the connector where the phone itself hooks up, while the rj-45 plug hidden in the center console, the antenna on the back of the car and the microphone up front hook into.

It has an accessory line that I hooked into to fire my amp because I didn't want to mess with the JBL garbage.
