All of the piping for the turbo and oil lines is complete. Now we are going to put in the 255lpm fuel pump. I didn't think about it and filled up 50 miles before getting here. So it should be quite fun. I'll keep you updated as stuff moves on. We are going to do a 3 inch downpipe instead of a 2.5. That should help alittle and let the turbo spool faster.

cut a fuel door makes it easier then dropping like 17 gallons of fuel

I would have to agree, I changed out the manifold I made for a header, didn't feel any noticable difference, although I do feel happy with the header.

Thanks man. I don't want to go to the quarter mile. Most turbo SHO's do poor because of the traction issue. They are more made for the standing mile, which I would like to hit up before I leave North Carolina.

workin fast guys. when is it supposed to be done?

Thanks man, I'm hoping that it is running by Tuesday, but most likely it will be running Wednesday. I rented a dyno for an hour or so Thursday so we can dyno tune it and get any kinks out.

Thanks man!

don't want to hi-jack a thread of a fellow booster, but the Prelude project thread was deleted along with a bunch of others, when there was some problems on the board awhile back...PM me and I'll send a link for the preludepower forums

do you MTX guys really have traction problems that badly? My 225 azenis hold 12psi no problem for everything except a launch. then I bolt up my 245's and I can't spin them with a little heat in them. Or does the MTX crowd take it easy on launches in fear of snapping axles?

I have to be making similar power to what your making.

its harder to ease it on, and you have more weight up front;)

I have traction problems and I'm am N/a. Some better rubber helped but even on the hoosier if you dropped the clutch to fast it would spin (for a second or 2 though)but enough to ruin ur 60'

From the turbo SHO I have ridden in, forget flooring it in first or second gear. It will just break lose. I personally think fast shifting is what will cause the loss of traction. But yah, they have bad traction issues, you can watch toolmans video of his turbo SHO breaking lose around 70mph!

I agree with you for the most part.

whats so funny about that?

I don't know? Brian, please elaborate.......

It is awesome that you guys make progress so fast. Keep it up!

I do see one problem though. There is a serous lack of.... video in this thread.

Don't worry, when it is up and running we are going to go out to a 4 mile straight road and tune it and see how it runs. I would like to do a top speed run if we are able to, it is safe and conditions permit. Maybe at the Maryland meet we will have to run the two turbo sho's and get a video. How would all of you guys like that. 400whp SHO vs 400whp SHO. I think it would be quite interesting, even though I would win!!!!!!

Perhaps get it running first? :thumb:

*disclaimer: not hatin' on yo shiat, just a friendly reminder that having too large a chip on your shoulder before the car actually runs can be detrimental to your ego.*

Dude. It has secondaries and a Turbo PLUS third gear. Its going to be the fastest car ever.

-Sam

It has big bore butterflies, gasket matched intake, ported and polished intake, so all of that should help. And it has the Jesus gear.
