U sure you want to go with a gt series? They are oil and water cooled so you have to run coolant lines to it also. i would try a 60-1 or 62-1.

Ya, not a %100 sure but a few people at the shop believe that it is optimal for my planned setup... I am still in the process of picking a turbo but that one is at the top of the list right now.

With a medium sized budget you would probably want to go the HI-FI route. It should be a little easier to install than the 62-1 because of the size difference. Just ask Tim! If I am remembering correctly, I looked into the GT35 series about a year ago. I think they would probably work alright on the SHO but less efficiently and at a higher cost than the 60-series from turbonetics that are proven to work very well on our cars. Your best bet might be to pick a hp goal, and go for that. We know that a stock transmission starts to have problems shortly north of 300 ft. lbs so maybe 280-320 range is a good goal for a medium budget. You could probably use a 190lph pump/32# injectors for fuel and you shouldn't need an FMU? A tweecer for tuning of course. With the HI-FI you could even use an internal wastegate if you wanted, or an external, whichever. BOV, piping, a good IC and a good clutch if you don't already have one in and you should be off to the races.

I think for ur goals that's a little on the bigger side. IIRC that's almost like a 62-1. But it would work pretty good. Depanding on the A/R of the turbine. Also the bigger hybrids are also great matchs for the SHO. Tims old setup was a t3/60-1. Made lots of TQ but was running out of compressor above 7k or so. I am looking at the Fullsize 60-1/ Hifi or a T3/T4 with a 62-1 compressor.

i'm going to reccomend this once.

255lph fuel pump
48lb injectors

I don't care what your goals are NOW but 6months after driving a boosted SHO they will change so don't force youself to buy them twice.

innovativetuning.com has 255lph (high pressure version) for 85 bucks new
CALL or email them about turbo pricing as well
I HIGHLY reccomend against buying your important stuff off ebay. summit has injectors cheap and so does shonut (+ he will modify them to fit correctly)

buy a ball bearing turbo

GT35R FTW that was soposed to be my turbo of choice. If you are building a ATX car then my massive PT67 does well but would be laggy on a MTX car.

definately give innovative tuning a call and discuss turbo's with them. I have spent enough money with him that if he knows "somedude" reccomended you he will definately sit down and figure out what is best for you. + he wont make fun of you for turboing a taurus.

if you want ultamate reliability 8psi is your ticket
