On the MTX there are 2 idler tensioners for the 2 belts.
First loosen the locknut on the rear tidler ensioner (between the P/S and W/P). 14mm I believe. Thn you need a 5mm allen head to add or remove tension from the belt. After you have added tension to the belt, tighten the lock nut.

The rear tensioner is easy to adjust if you have a 1/4" drive 5 mm allen head socket and a long extension. Reach in vertically from above. Of course, loosen the 14 mm nut on the pulley first.

You can get it with a standard allen as well. I don't use one of those attachments with an extension...only a basic 5mm allen wrench.

I think its a lot easier to use a universal joint and a long extension with an allen-head. Its kinda hard to get in there.

That PS tensioner is even easier to tighten when you have the 18" long, T-handled Allen wrench made for the job.

The two tensioners are always righty-tighty, lefty loosey with the Allen bolt, but only after you make sure the 14mm nut on the pulley is loosened.

The tensioning rule of thumb (finger) for serpentine belts is that you tension it to the point where you can only deflect the longest span of the belt about 1/4" with a firm press with one finger.
