was there a reserve on the car if so that could be why they paided more :oogle::thumb:

Nah, it's the other way around. A reserve price is the minimum that you would sell the item for. A buy it now price is generally higher than the reserve, but not always.

I would have bought it, but all you guys would have probably came over and burned down my house when it hit ebay in parts.

That's by far the best comment I've read about this thread! Way too funny but likely also painfully true. :thumb:

There was no reserve! Only a 15k BIN and offers.

I thought I had layed that out pretty clearly when I explained the difference between the two styles of auctions run on eBay, but obviously many missed it......

I try so hard sometimes....:nut:

The wheels are really the only thing that match the original pictures. I'm not saying its a scam but the pics are pretty shady, it looks like a 3rd gen with some rims.

Well, he got a bogus bid of 19 large, so decided that he should raise the BIN.

Never got a reply last time, so I tried another time. if the car and seller are for real, he should allow someone to come see it. If not, he can accept more bogus bids from phantom buyers.

As far as the extra pics, I am sure it is the same car as before. He put on some rubber band tires looks like, they let more wheel arch show. Maybe it is just the camera angle. Also, photogs are infamous for putting extra weight in cars when they shoot them for publication, to make it look lower than it is.

anyway, be interesting to see if he treats serious buyers more respectfully this time.

One would think that with this being such a very rare concept car that the owner would want to have very detailed pictures of it if he is really serious about selling it and if it is in fact the real deal. I do like the "newer" picture that shows (somewhat) the rear of the car, never noticed the rear spoiler before and I kinda like it. It does look like the tires have a thinner sidewall, the original size looks better.

I did get a reply on going to see the car. So at least this time there is communication. Not sure when I can get up to see it this time though.
