Your thoughts on transmission

Good morning

Just picked up my 14 sho. I took it to a buddies shop to change out all fluids and few other things. They do not want to touch the transmission because they are not built for that. They said there is a leak unknown location I have not seen it personally. I am having no issues in shifting or anything along those lines. Not doing stupid stuff with the car just back and forth to work. Should I just keep an eye on it and wait till something happens? No major leaks in the ground.

Hard 1-2 shifting

I've had my 2013 SHO going on 2 years (153k miles) . Ever since I've had it, first to second gear shifts are usually harsh. The hard shifting doesn't begin until after everything is up to normal operating temp. The shifting isn't always harsh though. I've been getting an intermittent CEL for cat...

Could be that - just a start - keep an eye for the pink oil making marks - learn where the filler is next to the battery under the airbox.

Check the fluid level. The dipstick is under the air box.

Meaning you have to remove the air box to access the dipstick.

Yes. I found this is awkward because to check the fluid level you need to start the car. With the air box removed you will set a code. No big deal but I try to reposition the air box leaving the wires connected when I check fluid.

Don't want to complain too loudly because my MKS is one of the very few modern cars that even have a dipstick!
