I just realized I did this to my Gen3 SHO but never posted anything about it. Vestin112 posted this for his Gen4, so I thought I'd put one up. Pretty straightforward. Just remove the bumper, undo the screws that hold the old one in, and make a mesh replacement (mine was from Home Depot I think, rain gutter tops or something)

Car looks good without the grille. I'll have to do this to my 97.

Also, I don't get why people feel the need to cross out their license plate when posting pictures of their car online. Literally anybody that can physically see your car can see your license plate. It's in plain view of thousands and thousands of people everytime that you drive it. SMH.

My thinking is that I do this for the same reason I wouldn't post the SS# of a deceased relative on the Internet. It doesn't make much difference to the dead person, but it's just removing temptation for that bad actor that may want to abuse that info for their own nefarious purposes. Just a little paranoia on my part, but better to be over cautious than have to deal with some annoying situation not of my own making.

I did it a few times on different cars.

Here was an early one from 20 years ago - no mesh, just 'flying' letters
I was thinking about shaving the rear SHO badge, but I fear it would leave holes in the rear bumper. Is that what you found when you harvested your letters from the donor car to make your SHO grill insert? Was the donor car left with holes to fill or was it just a carcass?

Soooo many SHO's ago....

I believe they were some letters I grabbed off a car in a junkyard. Lots more SHO's in junkyards back in 2003, we were at peak camfailure season.
