Performance wise yes, sound wise it makes a huge difference. For example Corsa and Stainless Works both incorporate an X pipe in the catbacks they offer for the SHO.
Does it eliminate drone? Now I am curious.

They don’t have an effect on drone (may increase what is already there), but for OP with stock catback with only DPs and an X pipe there will be no drone.

If you want to eliminate drone Corsa is the champion. Magic is in their mufflers which really cancel out drone frequencies. My issue with Corsa and PPE catless DPs was the obnoxious sound level with engine load. The solution was straight-through resonators welded right after the X section. Ask me how much time and money I spent to know.

Which resonators did you use, possibly Vibrant?

Turbos quiet exhaust by a ton. No matter what you do, the car will never sound anything like a car with straight headers.
