What's up, Kryppto! Not to muck up your thread, but a run to Broward County & back today combined with your reference to a CarFax has me wondering: Was there more done under my hood than I know of? I need Kryptto to take a look and/or take 'er for a run. Let's say a hard push from Boynton Beach Blvd. down to Atlantic Ave. on the Turnpike and back.

Oh, I'm also transitioning to 93 Octane all time time after running lesser ones ... about 3/4 full of 93, but hearing I need to run a couple tanks thru before I can tell.

Point is, I have the CarFax report from the Non-PP 2016 I got in March 2019 @ Al Packer ... CPO, just under 14K miles, $26K (Steal!) ... should be hitting 34K miles any day now. Anyway, report's all good, but no mention of the straight-piped resonator, nor what looks like Flowmaster 40 Series Race Mufflers, original owner mods.

I've since done H&Rs, plus K&N Cold Air Intake / Air Filter, and I always run with Traction Control off. Mainly because I always drive the wife's Explorer Sport in Sand Mode for the most rearward torque split. But that's Land Rover tech from back in the day, and in a Non-PP SHO, my research shows TC off is all can do to get more a balanced rear torque split.

So what's my problem?

Ford deemed it Certified Pre-Owned, which implies stock & no tune (minus bolt-ons), and that the factory warranty's all good, which it was for a spell. Not to mention, tacked on a little extended warranty.

However, knowing what a 6.2 V8 shove really feels like from the old C63 AMG @ 450 HP / 443 Torque, as well as having driven some friends' RT and SRT Hemi Chargers (including back when they offered AWD V8 RT Chargers) ... feels like something more has been done this SHO.

Or maybe its my imagination. Gets up to ___ speed (can't tell) way too fast for what's basically supposed to a V8 just under 6.0 liters ... that's really a boosted V-6. I mean, I'm coming up the Turnpike in 3rd or 4th gear in manual and approaching certain speeds while still around 5000 RPM?

Of course, I haven't asked anyone @ Apex to investigate for additional mods, but I'm thinking if Nate noticed anything he'd have mentioned.

Anyway, dude, one of these days we'll get together and see what we come up with ... take care!

Yeah to your carfax report and personal modifications that never gets reported, all good - u are right. PLUS cars that are have lemon law claims that never go to arbitration, get sold on the used car lot. NO Carfax, so the long story is my list of background resources is precautionary, if you check out the Consumer website, bring the used car to a place like Apex, look it over - at a dealership have it put up on a lift and visually inspect it.

You made great points, and I my wife can tell you my will tell you the Clintmore ans SR7 run to hypoluxo and hagen ranch run I made in 12 mins... yeah lights were optional. I had to [email protected] can I say. Love the SHO
