Gear Head turbo maintenance questions

So I hear a ting tang rattle when I start my car and I’m wondering in it’s turbos n if my Machanic can repair them or do I send them to gear head in texas and how does that work how much will it cost how long does it take and I think all there parts are on back order and what do they charge n will my car just have to sit for months has anyone dealt with this situation?

I would bet more if it's one of the heat shields didn't get fully bolted down on the turbos. The back turbo against the firewall is notoriously difficult with one of the bolts and never gets put back in.

Cold start up timing chain rattle is common, even after it’s been warmed up and sitting for just a few hours before starting again. But that’s a start up only noise. Not sure if you’re hearing constant noises, timing chain rattle is very brief and is gone. Oil filter choice can effect it. K&N and Motorcraft are the best that I’ve used for reducing/eliminating timing chain rattle bc of their anti-drain back valves. I used a WIX filter once in my SHO and timing chain rattle was the worst it’s ever been. Something to consider.

Flex pipes can rattle too on Startup. Don't ask how I know. LOL
