Would I be able to install the supporting mods for the GH tune (MAP sens, Therm and plugs) without having the tune yet?

Just wondering. Thanks

A bit smoother idle. Now after the tune is a totally different animal.

These are the correct plugs?

The M-12405-35T plugs are the SP542. They SP542 was removed from Ford's standard lineup and moved to their performance lineup and given a new name. There was an emissions compliance issue that doesn't allow Ford to use them as OEM in "average cars". The Ford GT uses them, but I think it is allowed under different regulations or something.

At least this is what I read a few years ago. Not sure how accurate it is.

The plugs will be fine, but not the MAP. I also believe you need to have the tune adjust the fan settings for the Tstat. I personally skipped the Tstat because after some deliberation I decided to just let it run at the temp Ford thought was good. These ecoboost motors are dirty.

On that note, if GH is out of the tstats again, and you want a 170 still in the box from them, let me know haha

You can always go down on temperature with the t-stat you just can't go the other way because of the fan setting. Your tuner will change those when he tunes it for the stat.

Thanks for sharing this good info. I'm doing the GH tune and MAF on my 105K 2011 SHO. I already have the CAI and SP-542 plugs and currently an SCT tune. T-stat is stock until I have decide it's time for some engine internal maintenance. I like what has been shared in the forums about the improved shifting from the GH tune.

FYI, it's MAP, not MAF...two different things.
