I plan to get some data logs and see what SHO can do tomorrow at the track. It will be hot tomorrow night from 83-92 with a decent amount of humidity. DA will be 3700 tomorrow and drop and 2900, eeck.
I think you went "a bit" too far on the weight reduction....

The lithium braile greenlite battery is even lighter at 4 or 6 pounds. Lithium is more efficient charging so less hp draw. I know someone daily driving for nearly a year with his sho, no issues.
Yessir, @Jordan_R’s car came with the Braille battery otherwise i would have jumped on the lighter battery already, maybe over the winter I will switch them out.

Now your car will have to run in my DA! Put up a time slip.
For sure! The second time I ran an 11.47 it was 85degrees and humid out -I think the DA was 2800–3000. We’ll find out tonight either way.

Lol. I do want to run and see what i get for speed, not to worried about times. My car likes the cool nights better, so i may do a midnight drag if they have timing working. Ive put some good speeds and times on Draggy but not sure how they actually are to a real strip

Typically your draggy speeds are just a tad slower than IRL, assuming your on level ground.

Got an alignment. Assuming the rear camber was within spec before, I'm at -1.7 on both rears after cutting 1/2 a coil out of my rear springs 2-3 weeks ago. I could tell it changed but didn't figure cutting 1/2 coil out of the spring would change the camber that much. Maybe it was only .2-.3 degrees of added camber. I would have liked to know exactly what it was before. As far as the front caster??? Tech said it's not adjustable. Why so far off?

Ouch, what's the damage other than the wheel?
I couldn't have been luckier on that. When it sperated, the strut prevented it from going anywhere, it gouged the struts bolts and scraped the strut. But the fender liner and everything else was untouched. When I picked up a new wheel today at a Ford supplier in Indy. They informed me that it's being sent back to manufacture because they have never seen anything like it. The tires only had 500 miles on them. I had road hazard. My tire store put on the new tire and mounted for free. Course the wheel cost me 600.

Okay another one of my "I got board stories".

The last few days I've been thinking about weight savings and engine compartment air flow.
So the MKS underbody panel, between the nose and the radiator cross member, is significantly lighter than the s h o panel that I've been using. We're not talking pounds we're talking maybe a couple ounces. Neither weighs very much. The front air dam is molded into the plastic with the MKS. So I decided to go back to the MKS panel.
The other thing on my mind was airflow through the engine compartment is a little slow with the underbelly pan mounted. I figured that the air flowing underneath the pan was too high pressure. So why augmented the air dam in the MKS panel with the flexible air dam skirt from the SHO panel. This should reduce the air flow underneath the nose of the car (lower pressure) and should draw more air out from underneath the hood (higher pressure).
Anyhow I mounted it all up and went for a drive. First thing I noticed was the front of the car felt a little heavier, due to the due to the slight air pressure decrease.
Second thing I noticed was that my engine temperature had dropped 10° to 12° f while on the highway. The gear Head intercooler didn't show any improvement though in IATs. Normally I'm hitting 210°- 215°f engine temperatures on the highway. With the extended air dam I was reading 196 to 198°.
Here's some pictures of my hillbilly air dam.

Haven't been active in a while. I installed to solid trans mounts from decunzlo finally a month ago. Was gonna do a write up, but frankly, it's just not necessary. An oil change takes less time.

My thoughts are...definitely better shifting, 1st, 2nd, 3rd. However...for the luxury lover, this may not be a mod for them. Makes the car vibrate like sports cars of old. Sounds better in the cabin, though.
