I would not listen much to the naysayers. I've seen Tony at North Texas Performance look for many years for a HD gearset supplier for the MTX. He found a company in Asia that built them. That was only 10 transmission sets for a Gen 1/2 MTX that was a complete redesign. I'm lucky to have a set.

Keep trying see what happens! Technology is on our side.

Exeedy made the factory clutches according to them. I asked at SEMA and no higher energy material than stock available :(

Btw @mattr66 I passed your name onto the Raybestos Product Development folks as a resource. Hope you don't mind. They appreciated the contact info, but not sure if they would actually follow up with you. Fingers crossed we can get them to push out some GPZ fritction clutches...

No, I hit them up yesterday but haven't heard back. Could be cause of the weekend or maybe they were just giving us lip service, lol. It could take quite awhile for development though if they really are pursuing it.

Dude I don’t get it. Things became even more clear...and they were already pretty clear...of how much our aftermarket is non existent.

Get this, my GF’s daughter Logan, 18 years old driving a Leased 2020 Toyota RAV4 base model and her 19th Birthday is coming up. She sent me a photo of an aftermarket steering wheel for her base model RAV4.....................WHAT THE ****!?!?!?! F799AB64 09E0 4578 89AF EEB4EC6FD457

Crazy....I truly think the SHO will go into the history books as an underrated and slept-on model in its later years and be more appreciated in the future.

That's assuming any are left after the water pump/ timing chains fail, failed PTUs, blown transmissions, toasted turbos, blown engines.....these may end up being remembered for these issues like the V8 cars are for the Cam debacle or the dif pin taking out the trans in the Manual V6 cars.

All SHO owners who promoted the sleeper aspect as the end all be all perspective of the platform are those who killed it.

"Ewww why would you do that to your luxury sedan???"
"It's a sleeper it's not SUPPOSE to look like that!!"

Shit triggers me. Those who did this and shunned improvements are the same reason it died. We're lucky in the last few years we got the few parts we did but from here on out I'm betting we are going to have slim pickings..

I dunno man, Ford never really marketed the SHO. Ford is the reason it’s a sleeper to begin with! If people knew Ford could make a capable AWD sedan that could push 600hp it might hurt precious Mustang sales. Not to mention Ford made the decision to stop producing cars as early as ...?

I bought the car because I liked the sleeper aspect of it. It’s not a sleeper any more! So maybe the sleeper aspect isn’t a total loss.

I also wonder how many Gen 4/5 SHO’s were even sold to begin with. The RAV4 for example sold more units in two years than the entire 9 year run of the of the 4/5 Gen Taurus.

I love ole’ Ford but they have lost touch with the consumer IMO. They came out with a bunch of nice hatchbacks 10 years after the hatchback craze! They should have been pumping out and selling more high performance sedans in the 2010+ era and selling hatchbacks in the 2000-2010 era. I can’t stand Dodge but least they know what people want. When the gas crisis and economy took a shit in the 2000’s Dodge started selling the Neon SRT-4 which was a huge hit even though it was a pos. The Economy bounces back and BOOM Hellcats in everything!
What did Ford do, design a new Mustang, then another one.
