Yeah, I think I saw those but they are apparently OEM replacement? Can't confirm though...Exedy makes clutches for it I believe. If @Ollie5002 chimes in to confirm or not. I think he has them

Fax....at least upgrade to a fax. I heard those are all the rage.I don’t know what Instagram is but I would get a set of after market clutches. I am going to find their address and write them a letter.
Man have you tried asking someone to send a fax? Lmao! I did last year on some seriously insanely stupid DMV mishap...anyway I had to go out of state for a document that they would not email or fax...once I got it I tried to fax it to my state to get the process of the document going faster..while driving back to my state....I went to two different places and they were like...fax? We got rid of our fax machines....can you email? I said no...ended up at a library to send the faxFax....at least upgrade to a fax. I heard those are all the rage.
If you send a letter or fax only one person can read it at a time, but if you send smoke signals anyone and everyone can read it and we can get aftermarket support for our clutches, transmissions and ptu's for our platform!Fax....at least upgrade to a fax. I heard those are all the rage.

Yes they make clytches for them and any clutch set is a stock replacement.. just made of stronger materials.Exedy makes clutches for it I believe. If @Ollie5002 chimes in to confirm or not. I think he has them
Yeah, the I had heard the Exedy clutch set was OEM equivalent in material. But I could be wrong, do you have an Exedy part number? If there's already performance friction clutches for our platform, that would be awesome.Yes they make clytches for them and any clutch set is a stock replacement.. just made of stronger materials.

K115F—Friction,I believe it was this set and then I put in a set of Raybestos steels along with the mods to the drum and snapring.Yeah, the I had heard the Exedy clutch set was OEM equivalent in material. I think we should inquire with Exedy to see what is needed to make the change for them to offer the clutches in stage 1 or 2 since they already offer the OEM replacement. I’m thinking this is an easy transition for them....although I’ve been wrong in the pastOK, after doing some research, looks like the Exedy kit is considered an OEM-level replacement. I've attached some photos of their catalog with references to the various transmissions. Looks like they list a Gen1 6F55 (2007-2011) and Gen 2 6F55 (2012-up). Here are the various kits with the Exedy part numbers, Note that the Industry part numbers are all K115F (as was mentioned), except for the Gen 2, not really sure what that means...
6F35 EFK429
6F50 EFK 282
6F55 G1 EFK283
6F55 G2 EFK422
But with the prefix of EFK, that's basically their OEM kit. A suffix of HP1 or HP2 would be their performance line, which doesn't look to be offered in the 6F55.
The GPZ Raybestos friction clutches are their performance line, meant for high power, commercial and racing applications.

So looks like the Raybestos ones, if we could get them to make a set for the platfrom, would be an even better option, combined with the mods that @Ollie5002 mentioned doing to the drum.
Yeah, it's another route. Although it's kind of the same with Raybestos. They also currenty offer an OEM replacement and I'm trying to get them to simply use their GPZ friction material instead of the OEM high energy material they currently use. I'm open to any sort of upgrade from either company.I think we should inquire with Exedy to see what is needed to make the change for them to offer the clutches in stage 1 or 2 since they already offer the OEM replacement. Just a generic response of "Thanks for reaching out. Our new product team will review your message."So, bit of an update. Got a DM this morning saying they appreciate all the additional voices followed by a request for my specific model year and VIN.....
Anybody else that DM'd them get any follow-up?
Me too although I also received a large heart, hoping that was special just for me...

raybestos_powertrain: Thanks, we appreciate the additional info and additional voices. I will make sure our new product engineers read the comments.
ecoboost_xsport: Awesome, thanks again.
Monday 5:50am
raybestos_powertrain: Can you send us the year and VIN of your Explorer Sport?
ecoboost_xsport: Year 2015 Explorer Sport, VIN xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
raybestos_powertrain: Thank you.
ecoboost_xsport: So would you say there may be some interest within the product development team to bring a GPZ kit to market? I'm sure these decisions take time, but just curious as to the temperature of the room on this application. Thanks again.
raybestos_powertrain: Yes there is definitely interest, no promises yet at this point in time.
ecoboost_xsport: Very cool!
raybestos_powertrain: [Large Heart Emoji]
ecoboost_xsport: That's a very big heart, that must mean good news lol. J/k....how long you suspect before we'd get a decision on whether or not they decide to move forward? I definitely don't want to bother you guys too much, lol.
4:18 AM
raybestos_powertrain: Within a few weeks. We have potentially identified some differences in the clutches between the 6F50 and 6F55. We are checking into that to confirm whether or not we need to do a material change or create new parts all together.
ecoboost_xsport: Ahhh ok...thank you.
The man doing all the heavy liftingWhere we stand on this at the moment. Updates may go quiet for a few weeks as it appears they are actually doing the research on the 6F55 and viability of producing a performance product for it:
appreciate what you're doing for all of us and the community, about damn time someone even considers doing something for our platform, we should all sign a petition and send it to a bunch of performance company's and tell them we want part to be made for our platforms, the SHO and explorer sports.
