Pulled the plug on the PTU, expecting to have to pump the oil out, and it started pouring! All over my DP, and the pad under the car. Swung my big pan over and letting it run. Realized about 30 min later that I didnt’ actually measure the outflow, and its all mixed in with my trans and engine oil. What does a fella do??? The PO did a long pigtail from the vent to the top of the engine bay. Fill with 16oz, and see what happens? 18oz?

Can’t believe i did that. Oh well. Live and learn. Any thoughts???

Pull the fill plug and fill it until it runs out.
make sure the car is 100% level as I've overfilled and it's came out the breather. Otherwise it's 18oz of fluid back in if none is left.

Thanks, y’all. I think I might’ve over-reacted a bit, haha. I’ll fill it this morning. I figured i’d let it drain all night, and make sure I got as much as I could out.

Next time, I think I remember SM105K post about using aluminum foil around the pipes to keep fluid off of it. I'm sure there are a few ways to drain it with less mess.

I gotcha. I just sprayed and wiped down the DPs with brake cleaner. We shall see!

Odyssey Extreme batteries are around $300 but they will still start your car after being parked for a year, and they are known to last 10 years.
