Ah, more than one way to skin that cat, I see. I had tried that method first, but it didn't work for me. The wire harness turned into the issue. But I may not have worked through it all the way. Gave up and went the other route.

If you clip the wiring harness off of the fuel rails you can have more wiggle room to put them on. This is what I did last time around as I didn't like the tightness that the rails and harnesses had together. Felt like I was forcing something that was binding up. Now I just run the harnesses completely separate from the rails. No clue why they zip tied them in the first place.

Yeah, I'm not sure why either, but the service manual was VERY specific about the zip tie thing, so I felt it might be important, lol.

A friend of mine suggested I send my injectors out to be flow tested and cleaned...I’m like bruh they have 200 miles of use!?? What you guys think? They should be totally fine and not in need of cleaning

Man, good question. I'm one of those over-the-top kinda guys, so....I'd probably do it...just for the peace-of-mind if nothing else.

But good chance those things are fine.

If they're X-DI's then they're already flow matched. You should've gotten the bench sheet with the injectors showing that. No need to mess with it especially with only 200 miles.

Yes otherwise I couldn’t start the car after if I didn’t have the data sheet for tuning. But I think it might be part of the service...cleaning and testing. As of now I have no plan to send them out as they are still brand new essentially

Did you tear apart the old one to see if there were any problems? Also, what was your maintenance with the original PTU?
It had I believe 90 some thousand miles of no maintenance and I changed the fluid like 5 times in 40k miles and the bitch was sludgy still. Looked like the gears had been twisting as the case had grooves in it. I can't say if it was my power level that caused it or if it was just on it's way out from bad previous maintenance. Once they sludge good luck getting anything out because I can't say I didn't try my hardest on that. This one will live a different life of probably a change every oil change lol.

With lightweight shockproof or traditional gear oil?

A low oil pressure light popped up on second start up this morning. Was about to take it around the block, but immediately shut it off and the only two things I can think of are that plug behind the water pump or the oil pressure sensor shit itself. Any ideas? Absolutely ****** right now.

I'm not a big believer in coincidence, so my money would be on loose plug connection rather than the sensor just happening to go bad. Either way that sucks.
