While I know there are other long winded info throughout this and other forums - this shouldn't be it.

Goal 1
State facts on the leading issue "mechanically", then describe what it took to solve it.

Goal 2
Make a list of known cures to refer to like a TSB.

Please be respectful of others and no tuner bashing.

I'll start with a brief known example;

I had knock, located chafed knock sensor wiring at edge of intake manifold. Solved it by repairing the open wiring.

Thank you for helping build a data base for this plagued issue.

As of recently I've seen more and more solutions to this problem. First like you said check the knock sensor wiring. I personally had this same issue with them chafing and wrapped them in rubber line and the issue was solved.

Other sources of false KR I've seen.

Oxygen sensors being bad
Bad brand upgraded trans mounts
Worn upper trans mount
Exhaust/metal hitting some where
Exhaust resonance/rasp hitting certain tones on partial acceleration (also something I've dealt with)

This just about sums up the list I think. I recently ran into a KR problem that ended up being O2 sensors, but most of the things you see are going to be narrowed down to the list provided. As for the knock sensor wiring, its a bitch to do, but I ran a vacuum hose over mine and sleeved it from the block.

Poorly installed EPP intake pipes and downpipes (not mine but have seen it on others). In general it is a good idea to look at all of your metal pipes and inspect them for scratching/chafe marks. If you find wear marks on them, they are hitting something.

Jordan and GotGrip can you break down what was noticed via the Bad O2 sensor. What to look for and how you knew?

For trans mounts - without brand naming- too stiff? too soft? poor welds? design? design revision?

For me I had an audible pinging noise at WOT (no code yet) and KR would jump to +7. Sounds like someone tapping a 2 pieces of metal together really fast or lioe metal being bent until it was stressed. I can't speak to the lower transmount KR, never had that problem. I did eventually get bank 1/2 sensor 1 codes.

Edit: it ended up being all 4 to fix my issue, ended up with a p219a after fronts went in. After rears, runs like a top.

I've been having weird KR readings on my tuner while driving around normally and aggressively. I can't ever seem to get a log when it happens to send to the tuner, but I suspect it's not my tune. I do have methanol injection which if not spraying properly will cause obvious timing issues, but I've checked that 100 times and it always sprays fine. I'm wondering if one of these issues could be it
