Finally decided to see how fast she would go today. Had a wide open stretch of a 4 lane interstate this morning and said to myself, what the heck. I punched it doing 70 mph and when I looked down at the speedometer it was almost at the 140 mark and still pulling. Smooth as silk. I decided that was fast enough and backed her back down to 70. What a rush!

I've hit the 135 speed limiter cut off plenty of times, I need to get a tune to turn that off!

Wish I knew. I ran out of speedo a few times. Kept pulling well after the speedo gave out then shifted to 6. So it still had more to give.

160 in the standing mile and she was still pulling but hit speed limiter. I now have had the tuner move limiter up to 200. Next year going to run 1.5 miles and see if she can do 170.

lol. Yes, very far North. But worth the ride! Much history there also. It used to be Loring Air Force Base. Up North when Russia was our biggest threat. Huge base with one of the biggest runways for the B52 Bombers.

Rolled a very modified V while me spraying a 75 shot in my tin can mode to over 170. Couldn't tell how fast I was going as I was trying to maintain my car length ahead until they let out. Just what they said lol

Going to have to bring the 89 SHO back to Loring one year to revisit a top speed run. It ran 185 there many moons ago, off nitrous.
