So I just got some cop rims for winter tires and I am going to pass on the dog dish covers. Instead of getting basic lugs that will get all rusty, is there anything cool looking out there that will add to the look of the rims? I'm thinking chrome but if there is anything funky that I am not aware of I am game.

@802SHO has some neat color swappable ones.
Yes they were an impulse buy at OReillys. My wheel spacers are M14x1.5 studs so I snagged these extra long truck Dorman lug nuts with color caps. Color on the lugs I bought is silver. They didn’t have any other colors in store. I bought orange color caps on Amazon and here it is.

You can go for the cheesy stuff, or you get a set of lugs with 4 locks locks that won't rust - ever. I've seen so many lugs that have rusted, some from the back. If it doesn't fall off it'll break when you take it off or strip the stud.

I used the black Gorilla brand on my Raptor and they rusted a fair amount within approximately one year. Granted, they were in salty ocean air quite a bit, but it was a fair amount of rust.

When I bought wheels from a national tire store for the SHO, I asked them for black lug nuts and a good brand. They told me they always use West Coast Acc as a vendor for their hardware. I’ve got a black splined set and they’ve been on a year now and no specs of rust.

Similar to me with McGard. I bought a used car in 1991 and it had McGard locking lugs. I lived in southern New England and the car was used year round. I’ve added the same brand locks to every car I’ve owned since then. When I added some new wheels to my latest Taurus, I needed the bulge type and went with a set like I’ve linked: 16 lugs +4 locks. I’ve also never had one rust, and the single lug nut that the chrome chipped on they sent me a replacement.

Similar to me with McGard.

After my Gorilla set rusted, I spoke to them at SEMA and it didn’t seem like they were surprised and they said because it was around 13 months ago when I bought them they were out of warranty, even though I explained the rusting started at like 6 months in.

Then I spoke to McGard at SEMA as well, they seemed to have more faith in their own product and said their warranty was better. My plan was to go with them, but never got around to it.

About a month in on my Gorillas, hope I have better luck.
