By the way, totally inappropriate question for the forum setting, but sometimes if I jump in a lake that's too cold, when I get out I have to have my girlfriend stick her finger up my bum and poke it back out

About your girlfriend, is his name sasquatch?

When i was younger we would hang on the roof at 45mph+ on gravel roads. The other vehicles would throw beer cans at us as we tried to be the first ones to the campsite.

Sounds a lot like my vacations to both Iraq and Afghanistan...but substitute "beer cans" with "small arms fire" and campsite with "COP" lol...

Yeah I remember seeing you Haliburton/KBR type guys when I was there...making 5 times what I was, lol...I probably could've made better life choices....sigh.

I'm a manufacturing engineer, so I don't see the external temps the roughnecks do. All my work is in a climate controlled building doing ISO certifications and functional auditing. But it's taken me to 28 different countries free of charge.

So to determine if had anything to do with the FEAD, I removed the serpentine belt and drove the car. Only had the no charging warning pop up. Noise it still there. So this eliminated the belt, belt tensioner, a/c compressor and alternator as the source. I also did a power brake but engine holds at 2000 rpm, so could not hear anything either. Still scratching

You have any codes? Hard part squealing or air escaping? I was thinking a leaky wastegate or something but might that affect drivability?

4 jackstands (preferably not harbor freight) and removal of the abs fuses may be your next option so you can"drive" it with the wheels off the ground.

I never got to Trashcanistan, however the vacation brochure for Iraq was totally underwhelming.

I did get to see Babylon the first trip, and the inner workings of the terrorist networks when we stream rolled Fallujah for my second trip.

That was my first suspicion. So I removed outlet duct from rear turbo. I was thinking maybe this had a split along a mold seam and it was whistling at high boost. While off, I ran hose to the wastegate and pressurized it to watch the actuator move. All was good but it might not be seating correctly and I can't tell if the is some leakage. I also checked the two bypass valves (anti-surge) for seating and put voltage to them to check actuation. While under the car today I also checked the exhaust flanges were tight. There's no sign of any exhaust leaks. I don't know about any engine codes, nothing is displayed when I do a system check, so guess I will make a trip to O'Reilly's to rent one.
