I do know that PP stands for Performance Package. I didn't say it stood for Police Package.

I was asking what the difference is between the two. Because rockauto clearly has both options listed.

I think fiveleeter answered my question, so this "is all I have to say 'bout that".

I had already explained to you that the SHO with PP was the same as the PI mechanically.... and you came back again asking the same question that had already been answered..."WELL ROCK AUTO SAYS"
Have fun listening to rock auto's recommendations buddy. Thats all i have to say.

In addition, the Left Front Strut has been out of stock forever. I have the Front Right and Rears available to ship but the Left has no indication of being back in stock anytime soon.
Yeah, I finally got mine last month. I had placed the order last October...crazy BO time.

It also took numerous people telling you on this forum that the PP and PI were the same package before you conceded.

That reminds me, I still need to order two pistons. One for the regular SHO and one for the PP/PI, so I can see what the differences are. And they are different. I doubt compression-wise, more like clearances than anything else.

Okay, one simple way to find out if the B6s fit the SHO is....just get an OEM explorer strut (I still have my stock ones laying around, if @Wsho wants to swing by again and we could do a match up. But @FiveLeeter918 has concerns about the dampening, rebound and compression rates. Even if they bolt up, there could be internal differences, I guess. Only Bilstein will be able to provide that sort of info.

No I have not confirmed fitment because not much I can do with only 3 corners haha.
Lol then why did you say you have the front right and rears ready to ship? I thought you had been talking about motorcraft so I said that Rock auto had the front left and you said no you were talking about bilsteins.

My supplier has them in stock. If I could source a full set it could be worth it but with only 3 there isn't much to be gained.

So you got a set of b6s that fit physically and your just testing them?
Thats on an Explorer which is what they are designed for. But it also weighs close to 800 lbs more than the SHO with a Gross weight close to 1400 lbs more.

So putting those shocks on a SHO could be incredibly unstable. Not something I want to risk on my daily without even knowing how they compare to a standard PP damper.

Then why did you run up in here saying you had them "ready to ship"?
Why would you say you have something ready to ship you havent even test fit?

Read the statement again please. If someone wanted a set, I along with the rest of the world can only get 3 of the 4.

Because he likely does what many, if not all, vendors do...order from a warehouse location. Nothing wrong with that, it keeps inventory costs down...but it isn't unheard of...
