I'm still waiting for LMS to verify that this is a free update to V11 or not. Or do I have to pay for a HPFP and then get the tune? Will the tune satisfy the the car's need for fuel pressure as is or will it still stumble on low RPM's ? Will it shift without jerking my head back? All legitimate concerns on my part and answers in plain english would be nice as I'm not a tuner or a techy.
There should be no more stumble as well, as for the shifting you can try this out and if you would like we can change the trans to a soft shift version after just let me know!

The world was ready to hang Volkswagen, all kinds or predictions on them being run out of business. And that was a provable fraud issue.

Who is complaining about them now....nobody! In fact they are the world's largest car manufacturer. The hatred did not last long, and it did not run deep, despite all the hoopla in the press.

The people that have the hardware for LMS will welcome this attempt to solve problems.
There were no problems in the 2010 to 2012 SHO's.
They were a pioneer in tuning for the modern SHO's and led the plug and play method.

No one is forcing anyone to forgive them if they don't want to, but just remember Volkswagen, and all the hatred directed at them.

This is a free update, normally we try not to update old programmers but for this we are making an exception so rather you have our old style or our new mycal touch we can get you the v17 update at no charge!
I do hope the non-touch MyCal's will be supported because it's my understanding the new MyCal touch is more specifically for the newer 8 and 10-speed transmissions that the older MyCal couldn't support.

Just because you are great for many years......doesn't mean you will ALWAYS be great. That is called resting on laurels and that is one of biggest mistakes you can ever make.

Volkswagen lied about emissions, not whether or not theyd blow up your car. Huge difference.

They also more than made up for it with everything they did for owners of those vehicles after the fact.

Had they handled it like LMS they would have blamed the customer for emissions issues, then offered a solution that required spending more money with them.

The comparison just doesn't hold any water on any level.

They actually did do that every single step of the way. Watch the dirty money episode on VW on Netflix. The levels that they went to are truly amazing.

They changed the emissions when the front wheels were not turned so that when the car was put on a dyno it would pass the tests. They did that AFTER they were already caught.

Not saying the situations are comparable, but VW is a business that I would never give my money to anytime in the near future.

Our area has emission test, first on a dyno, then a chemical analysis test routine at 2 different RPMs.

When the test changed to the non dyno, lots of failed Volkswagens went to the dealership and received a changed-out ECM to the tune of $1000.00, and they still had a problem passing. They had to rely on the money spent as being an honest attempt to remedy, and received a 2 year conditional pass.

Until the next failure, in 2 years, removed the car from service.

I am pretty sure the comparison holds water on all levels since these both are integrity issues.

Both are absolutely integrity issues. Won't do business with either in the same sense until all issues are resolved. VW cheated the market and forced a lot of competitors to not be able to compete because they couldn't get the same results. Won't touch a new VW personally, but at least VW has made an effort as of recently to make things "right." The buy back and fixing of all cars effected, given it's all to save face.

In comparison I think LMS is starting to realize in the last week the level of issue people have with them because the activity on the SHO forums from them has been waaaay more than it has been in the last few months. They're trying to save face and finally address issues that have been happening for some time. However, the issues they aren't addressing is still a moral issue to me. It's okay to say you are wrong and make things right. It's doesn't look bad to say hey we ****** up as long as you are working your best to improve yourself and make the situation right. I really think the V11 to V17 thing is a great change if it resolves the issues that people had with fuel pressure. That's a great step forward, but it's not just V11 that's the issue..
