Transmission replacement or just converter

Anybody know the price including the torque converter to have it installed? Car shifts fine but I’m getting the rpm going up in down when crusing at the sane speed around 35-40. Also heard a screech sound when I have it heavy acceleration. Dropping off Monday to a trans shop.

Sounds exactly like the symptoms my torque converter had when it was going out. Fortunately it was still under 60k at the time. So, no idea what it would have cost.

Steady speed, then let off the gas and get back on without kicking down to a lower gear and the RPM’s would bounce and I’d get a screech.

I researched what I could looks like a 10 hour job. I’m thinking around 1300 with a new torque converter. Hopefully

I found a couple. I’m just wanting to get it fixed. So I can get money out of it. Looking at a 2018 currently.

They charged me 1300. Go to a transmission/ gear shop. I’ve had zero problems since he torque converter replacement. Pulls harder than ever tons of torque. I believe it’s been in its way our for a few. Can’t be happier getting it fixed finally.

Other symptoms were loss of power. High pitching squeak under wot.

$3200 sounds pretty high. I think it was like $4,300 or so @SM105K said he paid for the whole trans.

$4800 for a whole new trans. Installed. Still hurts my feelings.

Yes, it won't go away and I'm starting to think it's the torque converter. I have jumpy rpms. Amongst other similar issues. Maybe fords just trying to screw me over because that's what they quoted for the Tc, and for a remanufactured trans itd be like 6100 with labor. Like 3300 for the trans itself.

I saw people on fb say that if you put some additive in your trans fluid and it drives better, that's an indicator that you need a Tc? Accurate ? And if so what kind should I try and how much.

I just blew my trans today. Got quotes for remanufactured trans w/warranty from 800 - 3200 max. That is just the trans..a cpl included tc. So for a dealership...6k sounds right

Yep my local stealership quoted me $5800 out the door.

Had a local shop do it for $4800 with a warranty.
