Use a blow dryer to heat the adhesive, then use dental floss to "saw" them off. Heat a little, saw a little, repeat as necessary. Took about 15 minutes to remove all mine, with the wife operating the blow dryer. The letters pop off easy, the SHO/Ecoboost took the majority of the time.

Afterwards you can use "goo gone" or WD-40 to get any remaining adhesive off.

You've got to be kidding me! I just installed this emblem on Saturday - replaced where the previous SHO/Ecoboost badge was - looks much better in my opinion! I also had to remove the ugly "Taurus" badge and replaced with "3.5 Twin Turbo," badge in chrome/black finish to match! I'll take pics and post.
Hi, Did you post pics of your trunk with the SHO and twin turbo badges? Mine came without any so I'd like to put one on. Mine is black so I'd love to see how your badges came out. Thanks

This is a VERY old thread. Not sure if anyone is even checking it or even still part of the forum. Anyways, I ordered the black SHO emblem and matching black TAURUS emblem. I should have them within a week and will post pics after installed. My SHO is Platinum White Tri-Coat btw. After I recieve the emblems, I might decide to wrap them with 3m tint to help protect the black and to give the chrome edging a Black Chrome appearance though.

sounds good. Id love to see how yours come out. I've thought of just getting new chrome and somehow blackening them out. I also realized why the previous owner may have removed them, from the back without any badges and the strip across the trunk blacked out, it looks like an unmarked police car. Maybe they thought they wouldn't get napped. IDK/

Can you post the link to where you got those emblems?

Probably would be cheap to ceramic coat them. I don’t know if it would give the chrome a tinted look though (don’t think so)

Basically the whole car just got repainted. So I'm trying to get all my emblems, wraps, and tints done, then I'm getting the whole car 10+year hard ceramic coated. And no, it won't help with the tint. As for the emblems, I tried to find them again and product now shows unavailable. Uh oh... hopefully I get mine still.

CRC Brakleen works awesome too - Its a great solvent to use for that and road oil removal.

I'll clarify. Use floss behind the emblem and use the floss like a saw, work it up/down, to cut the tape. You may be able to wrap it around the whole emblem in a loop to cut the tape too.
