I'm not sure. Maybe ask him?

I know my long mechanic pal/friend, has a couple of used SHO's in his inventory, and he said he would just pull one from one of those.

I'd imagine if Matt @ GH doesn't (sell them) it can be easily had from FMC, or in a JY local to you.

Continuing along with ancillary part upgrades.

Ordered this today.......

https://unleashedtuning.com/bbk-sho-throttle-body/

Once it arrives, gonna bring it on over to the machine shop to have them port match and polish to the intake plenum.

Another piece of the overall puzzle positioned into the picture.

Just thought to share. Oh, and btw, thank you to each/all of you for the positive comments and suggestions posted thus far.

Helps keep me motivated, all the while continuing to distance myself from past, poor experiences. Thank you all!

Placed my order for a new set of PPE DP's over this past weekend.

Once they're done w/ production, they'll be drop shipping them over to JET-HOT, where a 2500 degree ceramic coating in bright white will be applied. Then once JET-HOT's done, they'll be shipped to me.

Big thanks to the Prentis brothers, Paul and Eric for their involvement in this rebuild. I look forward to their talents being applied respectively.

Also, thanks to Ashley B. over at JET-HOT for their involvement as well.

More pieces of the puzzle my friends!

sounds like you're making progress, can't wait to see you back in action.

Keep us updated on the GH TC, it's been on my short list for a bit. What did you do with the Circle D unit you had?

I never had a Circle D TC.

My drivetrain was entirely stock when the motor went South at you know where's facility.

I sent my stock one into GH to offset the core charge. The one I sent in, is a 4 bolt pattern.

So Matt over that at GH should have at least one now in inventory, that's a 4 bolt, for any other 2010, and early 2011 model year owners that may opt in on the GH TC for themselves.

The only person I knew who had a TC from Circle D was former SHO owner Darrell Stamper. He actually went slower in the 1/4 with it (.6) and only gained back .3 after revising the tune. Darrell has long since sold his SHO and is now piloting an F150.

Stopped by the machine shop today. Essentially just to drop off the bigger TB from BBK and to say hi and shoot the $h!t for a few minutes.

The owner has begun the port matching and polishing of the intake.

Said he noticed an inordinate amount of casting marks, blemishes and imperfections from the factory. He suggested porting and polishing the ENTIRE inside of the intake, which would require cutting it open, in order to gain unfettered access as needed.

He'll weld it back together afterwards, then send it off for powder coating.

Not too keen on engine parts being cut and welded back together, but fingers crossed this will work well. Another possible route 2 go is to create a composite intake like Ford has for the F150, unless there is a compelling reason to retain the original metal intake. Gonna polish it up?

A composite of the factory manifold would be awesome.

Powder coating it, as stated in previous post.

Also, no need to cross fingers, this sort of thing is performed routinely in the import/foreign platform(s).

I wouldn't be proceeding forward with the work as outlined if I wasn't confident about it's intended outcome. Looks much scarier than it really is, and I've seen some scary things in my lifetime.

LOL

Awesome. It's cool you were able to find someone so close to you that is capable and trustworthy of these types of mods.

So what kind of gains should one expect with something like this? ...port matching and smoothing.

Since I don't have someone who can do this (that I'd trust)…I'm thinking about extrude honing. Seems very similar, if not the same.

@ Stan.....

I'll have to ask the machine shop owner what his best guess is based on his year's of prior experience performing this same mod.

Considering I'm doing a lot of different things all at once it will be challenging to isolate a specific number.
