Previously had a 96 and then a 99 SHO. Bought a 2016 in January and must confess I wasn't quite aware of the PP option. So my question is: how do you ID a car with the PP? (I've seen miscellaneous pieces of advice such as, you can tell a car wit the PP because it has 20" wheels and suede on the steering wheel...but I am skeptical about those clues). And I don't have the invoice from 2016. Naturally the Owner's manual is silent about this question. So, any way to tell - shouldn't it be obvious?

Thanks,
JEB

This looks easiest and most foolproof; check that the VIN matches:
Check your sticker in the door....
The door sticker will show you axle code. ...here is the decode:

Axle ratio codes:

1 = 2.77
2 = 3.16
3 = 3.39
4 = 3.07

So, for the PP, the axle code should show "2"

PP had an inflator kit instead of a spare tire, but this could have been swapped.

PP goes to sport mode if you press the traction control button twice while holding the brakes, but this can be reprogrammed.

PP also does not have the parking assist.
Not to mention the most obvious markers, the two tone seats and steering wheel.
