I am doing some satin grey on most of the chrome. Had a black Navigator that was murdered out besides the chrome grill before the SHO and wanted something different.

I took my SHO to a dealership here and they said they would not paint over the chrome.....grr.

Yeah first first paint correction took roughly 30 hours. I did it by hand. So the DA Polisher should make things better, I would hope.

You're a better man than me, I don't think I'd have done the whole process if it took 30 damn hours. I live in South Texas and the 2 days last July I did mine it was over 100 with 93% humidity. I have to work outside as half of our garage has been converted into a bedroom and the other half, well it has a full garage of stuff packed in it. Not really looking forward to having to do a huge car but when I'm done I know it'll be worth it. The Tuxedo Black Metallic has so much flake in it when it's clean and it's sunny outside the car shimmers with blue, red, purple, green, orange and other colors. It's really striking, the Gloss Coat is a perfect topping for it.

It is definitely interesting with the Tuxedo black. I keep saying I wont buy another black car...

Next one will be Silver including my Aston.

Sorry not to update in awhile guys. It is has been a whirlwind last couple of weeks for me. Between a mini vacation, competition, then getting egregiously slammed at work including call offs, associate vacations, and inspections, it has been wild.

So I finally have some time to sit down and write some things in response to ST story and the blonde.

I went to the car show that Saturday. I rolled in and did what I normally do, troll down the isle of the mustangs. I back in, crack my windows, and put in my sun shade. I get out and start my walk to the mongolian grill that I eat while I am am there, and there she is about 4 cars down. She was standing in front of a S550 silver 5.0 Mustang. I smile at her and said, "Where's the party?" She laughed, and said at home. She had hitched a ride with her boyfriend.

She then asked if I brought the ST, I said, "No. I brought it's big brother the SHO." She smiled and said, "The SHO that just pulled in, the EGOCHKR plate?" I said yes. She then asked, if she had recently changed the plate. I had the earlier last month. She then proceeded to ask me if my old plate was 5OH LOL. It was.

She then goes into a story, about how a black four door sedan completely destroyed her boyfriend's Mustang at a street light a couple of months back. I actually remember the Mustang, a younger kid that was throwing me revs for a short distance before a red light. Well long story short, he got a boosted launch, and I took him to Gapplebees. I never rolled down my window after, just to prove a point. Little did I know, she was in the car, and was laughing hard because they had no idea what my car was, but they were intrigued by plate, and then found out why.

She said after the race she googled SHO (Mine still has the Chrome SHO badges on the side) and low and behold...twin turbo, all wheel drive, TAURUS? LOL. I told her mine was different and she laughed, and that I get the whole, "It's just a Taurus/Fiesta thing." Her boyfriend showed up, he was looking at another mustang down the isle. She gave him the run down, and he ended up being pretty cool. He said, if it would be cool to run me again when he got some drag radials. Of course I said yes. So kudo's to him, because I know first hand how cool it can be to be with someone that shares a passion for cars.

Rims are ordered, and I ordered a pair of quad exhaust tips for the exhaust.
Curva C7 Black
Quad Tips

When the rims come in (should be sometime this week hopefully) I will get them mounted immediately. I am waiting for a pair of PPE down pipes. I am going to order the upgraded trans mounts as well. When the DP's arrive, the upgraded trans mounts, and exhaust tips will all be installed all together. Then she will hit the rollers one more time to try and crack 400 hp with tired turbos lol. Along the way, all the chrome will be stripped from the car, and it will be painted. I might even strip it tonight and get it to paint this week. While the trim is off, she will get another paint correction. There are some spots on the car that are really bugging me.

Going to look great! Make sure you weigh the wheels for fun.

I started wrapping my trim, only to realize I messed up and cut the rest of the vinyl too short, so only one side would have been completed. It looked fantastic, but I was rushing to complete one door before my girls woke up. Soooo, I bought some Anthracite plasti dip and glossifier to do instead. Never used it before and I think I can do a decent enough job that some will appreciate.

Here's what it would have looked like had I taken my time (back is wrapped, front is not).

It looks so much better dude. I am really starting to hate the chrome to the point I start to seethe when I open my garage lol.

Are you going to trim the bumper area that the exhaust comes out to make those quads fit? That’s something I really want

Here’s an example that I think just looks perfect and mean. It is on the 2010-2012 but gives the ideaD2DDF991 E4D5 4E35 9794 12607B7075F0

That is Andrew's car, and he posted a picture like that on the other board. That is why I am going quad. I am going to recess mine a bit more, and yes he said you have to trim the skirt a little bit to make them fit. I will install them hopefully by mid July.

Also, I ordered the Gen2 mounts from Tony. I emailed him and he responded very quickly. Items were paid for, and I already have a tracking number. Pretty damn quick if you ask me. I am excited to see what these do for my SHO.

I do like that quad tip look a lot. I saw that cars exhaust in a video a few days ago. It does look good, but boy was I not a fan of that sound.

Yeah I not a fan of how these car sound when modified. I may remove the restonator and and put a large Magnaflow muffler there. Or might leave it and swap out the stock mufflers with Magnaflows. I dont know.

Rims, Quad Tips, ad Trans Mounts shipped today. The rims are coming from next door in Ca, so they should be here tomorrow or Thursday. I will have them mounted ASAp after I clean them throughly and add "The Last Coat" to them. Look for pictures hopefully Friday or the latest Saturday. Paint guy got back to me as well, we are trying to figure things out.

I don't know if I want to accent the car with any colors (brake calipers, ect). I might just paint them black too. Lots of decisions to be made. Gray or Blue are on my mind if I do.

Now what to do with my flowers, do I keep them...or try to off load them?

I vote to paint the calipers bronze... If you have the room, I'd keep the flowers in the box. If you ever decided to get rid of the SHO, you'll have the factory wheels to toss on and can sell the Curvas.

I have the room. I will probably keep them.

Bronze...interesting. I do live in the copper state....

I pulled the chrome trim off tonight. Only cut myself once, so that is W in my book. Trim is ready for paint.

I decided that I am going to go with metallic copper overlays for the front and rear ford emblems. Still staying with the style of Bull and Turbos just in copper. I think I will just paint my calipers down the road a gloss black. The copper willl be subtle and tasteful I believe.

20190626 215330 Last day on Flower's? C7's should be here today. I will inspect them, check fitment, clean them, and then throw two coats of "The Last Coat" and then take them to get the tires mounted.

Trim is being dropped off today for paint.
