Is this the correct 3 bar?

I ordered from rockauto using the part number I found on the forum. Cx2231, which was updated to cx2594. But in my reading it was stated it should say -AB at the end of the part number list on the sensor. This one is AD. I'm still assuming it's right, but wanted to double check before I install it and my tune.

Thanks.

interesting - I received a -AC a while back, and everyone said it was a 3bar. (still don't have a tune yet though).

Does it say "China" on it?

Yeah it does. But came in a motorcraft box with a Ford dealer address on it.

This is what's printed on the sensor as the pic is kinda hard to read. Tuner will be here tomorrow and tune hopefully by Wednesday. I'd throw it in and see of the car runs terribly with it, just to confirm pretune. But not sure how rockauto is with returning electric parts that have been installed, and prefer not to be out $110. That's money I need for my IC upgrade, lol.

Jeez, glad I got a 3bar when they were < $50.
I wish! Some aftermarket are around 75-80, but I like having factory electronic parts. I may shoot these pics over to GH when I fill out my tune form. But looking around a bit, it seems right. Hopefully someone else can chime in and confirm.

Yeah, let someone else chime in... I got mine off eBay back when I still had my 2016. That was just about a year ago. It's a -AC with "China" on it.

I just put mine in. I think that’s exact. The only difference was the last two letters (from stock) and it said China for sure. I’m running out to auto parts store right now. I’ll confirm when I get back. I still have my hood cracked.

Thanks! Much appreciated. Mind now at ease. Now to(im)patiently wait for the tune.

Just got mine on the road. I waited until I was almost on empty with fuel took it right to the pump for 93 octane. Took it to the hwy for some test runs. I surely didn’t expect the difference it made. I did let it heat up a bit prior as I’m installing thermostat tomorrow. Heading to the track week after next.

Hope everything goes smoothly for you! I’ll be keeping an eye on the thread.

I will definitely keep you posted. My tuner should be delivered tomorrow, then I should hopefully get the tune by Tuesday. Unfortunately they closed RMR last year and my closest track is in my hometown, 500 miles away. I just got back home and probably won't make it back til late summer, if at all again this year. But I'll do some street pulls, and if possible find a clear enough road to try some app to test at least 1/8 mile. I'm pretty stoked as I've heard nothing but positive on gh tuning.

So, you're pretty happy with your results then? Any other mods done? I have an Airraid, an epp noise maker delete, and then the 3 bar and tune. 91 Is my best available fuel, unless I wanna try some low E blend. And then closest e station is 30+ miles away.

I am very happy with the results. These are the first mods I’ve done. I have some plans for upcoming mods. From what I’ve read, low e blend and an e30 tune would be best for with a hpfp. That’ll be down the road for me. Noise maker delete and catch can will probably be next for longevity’s sake.

I run a 93 tune here in ID even tho we only have 91 I just add 1.5 gallons of 110 to a full tank of 91. we have many places you can buy 110 off the pump so I just buy 5 g at a time.
Sad to see RMR closed I watched may races there as a kid 30 + years ago. I'm guessing our track is the closest one to you (firebird) and it is on the national registry so it wont have what happen to RMR to close it down. I'm lucky it is only 20 min from my house.

Couldn't agree more.

The EPP piece is very nice. High quality and cheaper than the Ford piece too. I have a jlt can on the way also, should be here Tuesday. I was torn between this and the upr or rx. Chose this for price right now and I'll see how it works. May still grab one of the others. Upr seems nice, rx seems nicer but it's close to $700.

I'll have to do some research on wether or not I can easily source 110 here. No pumps I've seen, but there is a chemical company we use at my work that has an assortment of high octane fuel available in 5 and 55 gallons sizes. I'll have to do 5 because I live in an apartment, but there cost isn't outrageous.

Firebird is about 360 miles from me and bandimere(my old home track) is about 550, but with the benefit of free place to stay! Either way I hope to get some more passes in this year after the tune. Bandimere at 9100ish DA ran a good baseline of 14.5.

Tuner is here, tune file loaded onto it. Just waiting for the spark plug gap tool I ordered. That should be here tomorrow. So I should be getting everything installed and tuned by the weekend. I did get the jlt can installed, quick and easy 5 minute install. But looking at it I'm slightly disappointed I didn't go with the upr, and may end up doing that soon.

That’s my next mod getting a can. Let me know honest opinion on it.

While it's only been a couple of days, I can give you my initial impressions for now.

1 It's priced well for what it is.
2 It's a lot smaller than what it appears in pictures, it's about 2.5"x3.5-4". Also its not a separator as they say, it's just a can.
3 install was super easy. I mean it took me longer to find the right tools than actually install.

I will check it in around 1000 miles or so and see what has deposited. So for now I'll just say, if it works at all it's worth the price of entry. But had I done a little more research prior, I believe I would've gone upr, and may still. It just looks to be an all around better designed system with an actual separator. And it replaces all stock system instead of just the dirty side. I'll try and snag a few pics later, waiting for the car to cool so I can get off my lazy bum and put the plugs and 3 bar in. Tuner later today(hopefully)!!!

Got the 3 bar in. Front plugs done. Went to the rear bank and all three boots tore off. :( Headed to grab some boots after tune is installed. Had to tune as I didn't want to put back the stick map.
