Im planning on going on Hot Rod power tour in June and want to get a livernois tune before then. I was reading through their website and they said they recommend a cooler Thermostat and new spark plugs before a tune. I planned on new spark plugs anyways because my car is just over 100,000, but would the thermostat really be necessary if I live in Minnesota?

you will not notice any difference from your end. just helps the car make a little more power and is part of the tuning
the 3 bar map, plugs and a stat is with the lms 93 tune is a good easy power adder. will take you about 30 minutes to install all of it in most cases

For the plugs, it depends on what year your vehicle is. The 2013+ comes with the recommended colder plugs.

I've got an Unleashed 93 Octane 3-bar MAP tune on my 2014, with no other modifications aside from an AEM drop-in dry filter. That was put on @ 19k miles, and the car just rolled over 60k miles. It's the wifes daily driver, it's been to the 1/4 mile dragstrip multiple times, and I do the Dirt Drags yearly with it.

These cars are sensitive to plugs and they are not that bad to change. LMS likes the 2013+ stock plugs SP534s now superseded by SP580s. Change them before the tune and every 20-25K miles.

I have the livernois thermostat installed. I dont see a difference. Technically the tune was made for that temperature but in real world testing that i think i saw on here somewhere, its like less than a 2 degree difference. Probably just a waste of money.
