Well i bought my sho in Feb of last year. I thought i made an account sooner than that. You got me there account wise. I had my livernois tune before that. I either looked on here or on EB forum for that info when i was shopping around for a tuner

If i learned anything from 3 forum sites, its that people trash and trash torrie and ajp but as soon as you say something about livernois, EVERYONE seems to be offended by it. That one guy i met at youtube call out at maple grove ran like an 11.3 or somewhere around there and i asked him if he had a livernois tune and he didnt even know who they were. But he tuned the car himself and also turned the rears off down the track. Maybe bpd can run better than that with the rears turned off. Quickest gtr’s turn the rears off. I see too many CANTS on these forums. Cant do it on stock turbos. Cant do it on stock tranny. Cant cant cant. Ok the guy with the flex pushed it till it couldnt push no more but there are lots of weird things you can do to awd turbo vehicles to make them quick and hp has nothing to do with it. Id love to buy another to strip it down but itll never beat the tesla i saw stript down

I have not seen a single person trash AJPturbo. He isn't even on this forum.

Well this forum and another one scared me away from data logging and using torrie and some others. But i see why data logging is needed now and livernois is just a “basic” tune. Even Roush told me not to use their tunes and ive ordered plenty of parts from Roush. 1 for my sho and plenty for a mustang i had. My buddy is a machinist there. I was going to take my car to Roush to have it be one of the first Roush tuned SHO’s but the turnaround time was way to long. I was told they have a couple in there now they are developing parts for to show the world why its going to miss the performance sedan

Probably better off waiting to see what Roush is doing. Hennessey did some work but i think they had livernois do their tune when i called them.

Well, again, most people want power with DD reliability Very few are willing to experiment to the point of having their cars in the shop more than Jaguars ( :nut: ) are. All depends on your risk tolerance as to what your experience level with any platform is going to be. So bottomline has tended to be offtheshelf tunes from Livernois, Unleashed, and now AJPturbo & Gearhead are some of the best around. Always something to tweak, and all of them do accommodate.

I gave up the SHO life some time ago, so no worries about outrunning me. Speed isn't the only way to beat a competitor. Anyone can go in a straight line given basic skills LOL.

Thats what i think livernois is best for and thats a safe tune because i know they wont make a tune file beyond the saftey of the engine. This issue with it hitting and holding the limiter is sorta new i think because i didnt even have an issue with it until november or so but then again it probably is fuel related. Maybe they can lower the limiter alittle or maybe it is weakening the pump. Anything is possible i guess.

Haha no i was meaning you outrunning me. When i picked up my sho in michigan we drove out in my miata and i came back in my sho with my buddy in the miata behind me. And he would get up to 100 or so going by me and ill just cruise on by him because i know my miata can push 120 but needs a nice flat road with no wind to lift it off the road. Yea they get scary above 100mph. To light of a car

I like doing my quarter mile runs uphill, LOL. Flat roads bore me. Flat straight roads bore me even more. :nut:

I take falls road MD 25 the whole way up to Pa everyday on my way home with the miata. Winding roads are what it was made for

That is where the fun is. But there is also a lot of traffic on those same roads, so the opportunities to go at it full tilt are rare LOL. AutoX is really the only safe place to do it these days.

Gotta take our Sho’s over to laguna seca to burn up the ptu’s. Or worse, Mount Panaroma. The track built to tear apart performance sedans.

I still want a pontiac g8 gxp but can never find a good one. Or get a chevy ss and do a holden badge swap to it. Feel like driving V8 supercar. Or just a rwd swapped v8 taurus. I seen the yamaha v6 in the engine bay longitude but it was just online. Thats a good year of work there

Triple degree engineer my ass. Engineers can typically master use of a language. This guy is a troll. Faster in FWD only. Hahaha!

I have met some strange people at my job. Engineers and all. It takes all kinds to make this world go round.

What curt is saying is to launch in awd, then at a certain point go to fwd as you no longer need as much traction to continue to accelerate.

I can launch better than a dodge Daytona and get him light to light. His higher h.p is not an advantage as he can't get the power to the ground.

On the highway the dodge has more power. My awd is no longer an advantage. Infact it's more moving parts robbing power.

What I do not know is how the stock programming will use the awd R.D.U. at a WOT pull all the way to 140 in a P.P.
