If you can, take the positive cable off battery fort about 20 minutes then load new tune. This will erase the kam memory and let your tranny start fresh with learning shifts. Then drive easy for about 50 miles then do some WOT.
Gosh. I hammered it right out of the gate. I waited about 1 mi after letting the engine warm up

Trying to help, as I have the same issues with the LMS tune. On the string 'LMS vs Gearhead "Canned tunes" I noticed at least one of the members with no LMS issues has a high pressure fuel pump. Also, he has both the gearhead and LMS tunes. My car has 57,000 miles, and I"m thinking that a new pump might be my next purchase, as I will have soon have both tunes also.

That would be me...

I have a 2016 SHO PP that I purchased with 7K on the odometer and currently has 16K on the odometer.

It’s been tuned pretty much since I got it. The LMS v11 did have hesitation before the pump but I had no shifting issues. After the pump I have had no hesitation issues at all.

I do run both GH and LMS tunes and have not had any issues with either one since the HPFP install.

Both are very solid tunes for me.

Okay. So getting closer. I did the pint overfill trick first and drove the car for an extended time for the trans to relearn before any aggressive driving each time I tried a new tune. I tried 2 different new tune revisions, a softer shifting v15 and a performance v15. The softer one didn’t do anything strange, but it sucks. It doesn’t feel any quicker than stock and the car has no punch. The performance v15 tune is strong and shifts fine with no missed gears or fueling issues except on 2-3 WOT shifts at 65-70. You notice it most when you floor it from 40 or so and get a kick down to 2 on an on ramp and you keep it floored until the 2-3 shift is commanded at 65-70 or so. It still shudders a little and you get some tach flutter, but it does eventually shift on its own without hitting the paddle. Behavior is exactly the same with traction control on or off. I emailed Anthony and asked for them to back the 2-3 shift point down a little. I only got to try 3-4 once, and forget any higher than that. I don’t want to spend the next few months in jail. Lol

When they get the revisions done, I’ll run the new one for at least a while and report back. It seems like these issues might actually be fixable now, though. I was running low on hope before. Would really like that high pressure pump since my main issues seem to be fueling related but don’t want to mod the car that extensively now.

I certainly have to hand it to LMS and Anthony for the outstanding customer support . Very accessible and sincere in wanting to resolve this issue . Email and telephone call today from him along with a V14 which my understanding may be the successor to V11 .

I'm going to try the V11 for a few more days to see if the missed shift somehow is abated by the learning process .

At least they are giving it the old college try .

Is the v14 cutting back on the power a lil bit ? Or is it just shift points that are revised ?

I have V15 tunes and I can’t tell any power difference over the V11 on the performance 3 bar. That’s just butt dyno, though. I didn’t run before/after numbers or anything.

This thread has inspired me to try the v11 93 octane tune again. During my exchanges with LMS back in march/april, disabling traction control was never brought up by them. I ran an AJP 93 octane tune all summer with no issues, then switched to my LMS 91 octane tune when the weather dropped below 50 and just haven't driven it aggressively at all.

I loaded the LMS V11 93 hard shift tune the other day, and today I gave it a few WOT runs with traction control turned off from a dead stop and a few from a roll. It did not have any issues, and it was around 40 degrees today. To me, that is a band aid not an actual fix. I don't want to have to turn traction control off every single time I start my car. I don't have to do that with either of my other two tunes from other places,. It would be very easy to forget to do that, and next thing you know the car just falls on its face rather than accelerating as you would expect, and that could put a person in a dangerous position on the road.

For troubleshooting purposes, the first V11 93 worked flawlessly on my car for about two weeks. It was not until I finally got my downpipes moved over from my old car to this one, and then loaded the V11 downpipes tune that I started having issues.

I loaded my first v11 in October. I'm in Northern Ohio, so it's cold, and there is no question the symptoms are worse as the temperature drops. I just ordered a Gearhead auto octane adjust tune with an sct tuner. I may try one more program from recommendations here, and will run the winter with the best of those tunes. In the spring, I will go to the track on a day when ambient temp is at least 60 degrees. If LMS is correct about the variable of temperature, I will likely have no issues with the v11, and if so, will run their tune all summer. Then, go to GH or possibly AJPT, for winter. ET's will decide. I really want to replace my fuel pump with a firestorm, but they are over $1500. Pretty sure the pump is the silver bullet. I'll post when all is recorded.
In the meantime, could everyone with v11 issues reply with the temperatures they are driving in?
Thanks

I think you’re correct. I first got the v11 around thanksgiving. It was unseasonably warm here around 60. I didn’t notice any issues at first. I first noticed the high RPM shuddering on a trip a week or so later when it was in the low 30s. It’s been mid 40s or lower ever since.

I didn’t notice any missed shifts where it dropped into neutral until they started messing with the tunes, and it has not done that again on v15, so that just seems to be an aberration.

I really need to get some gauges so I can monitor fuel pressure. I bet it’s dropping pretty low when it shudders above 6000 RPM.

It starts shuttering around 1000psi... should be at 2000+.

You can pickup a used SCtX4 for around $250... you can monitor just about everything with one of those in real time, datalog, etc... resolution is really good.

I went with LMS for my tune because I believed they were the pioneers in this ecoboost game. I still believe they are the best. I always go with my gut instincts. Can’t they just make a powerful tune that can be equal in hot and cold weather without any issues. I don’t have any issues with my 93 v11 tune , the soft shift one does take long to shift into 4th in sport mode only but it does shift. I can’t afford that high pressure fuel pump to make everything better if needed. Don’t want to keep adding mods to make ones that I have continue to work. Seems like the old rope a dope. I live in New York and fortunatly I can garage mine for the winter so I don’t know if I would have any of these issuses when the temps drop. Ran super during the summer though WHOA !! I’m keeping the faith !

Loaded the V14 93 this morning and only noticed a very slight hesitation above 5500 when punching it. It was 26 degrees outside. Coming home temps were about 46 and there were no problems at all. The car threw me back in the seat and shifted fine up to ~90mph. Not trying to get a reckless driving ticket on an on-ramp.

Good to know. Been thinking about getting a tuner for the Mustang, so maybe I’ll get an X4 for it and use it for logging on the SHO. I assume it will log anything you plug it into and it doesn’t have to be married to the car.

I bought a cheap Chinese WiFi ELM for my iPhone a few weeks ago. Been meaning to try Forscan lite, Torque, etc to see what PIDs they can monitor.

So got a chance to run the latest v15 tune updated with the slightly lower shift point, and it doesn’t shudder anymore on 2-3. With it floorboarded at the 2-3 shift at 70 or so you get the slightest hesitation and almost imperceptible hiccup when it shifts, but I’m gonna drive it for a while before I request the shift point be lowered anymore. Definitely get the feeling I’m right on the edge of the fueling capability of the stock high pressure pump at that point, though. Would really like to log it and see what the pressure actually is. Wonder what the air fuel and knock retard is doing at that point though. With low fuel pressure, you’d think it would be lean.

I know you’re supposed to turn traction control off when you flog it, but just for an experiment, I drove the **** out of on the way home and did 20 plus full throttle pulls from 40-70 with the traction control on and a couple 0-70+ runs, and it never did miss a shift again. Don’t know what caused it before, but it seems okay now. Hope it doesn’t do it again. Don’t think my heart could take it. Lol

Yes I have a AJPTurbo tune and a UPR catch can. The catch can is really easy to install and there are many videos that can show how to install the can the proper way. Also if you purchase one I can help with the install as well.

Yes I run mid 12's (12.50's) at full weight and I weight 250 lbs. Pretty sure I can get it into the 12.30's next track session in January. I use Brad's E30 tune. I have gone through about 5 revisions just on the E30 tune. I have a lot of tunes by Brad. I have a stock 3 bar, a 91 3 bar, and mild to wild E30 tunes. My SHO isn't my daily so I have zero problem beating on her. She is actually down getting a transmission upgrade as we speak.

Here is a good thread and I have lengthy explaination on why I use E30. You can also learn about some stuff on the fuel systems on the SHO's. My response is #46. You will see alot of crossover between members here and there.

https://www.ecoboostperformanceforum.com/index.php/topic,9618.0.html

I use the SCT LiveWire. It hold 10 tunes, I see what parameters I want in real time, I can set alarms, and I can data log. SBS is correct. You will have to buy a SCT device (either a X4 or a LiveWire). Brad is a dealer for the device. You will need plugs, and 3 bar MAP (in most cases) and at least a K&N drop in. You will need to data log. Brad likes a couple of logs. TC off, standing stop, 1st through 3rd gear full throttle pull. Then a 3rd gear 20-30 mph pull all the way to red line.

Here is my personal thread about the adventures of me and my SHO. I am still chasing a couple of goals.

https://shoforum.com/index.php?threads/couple-of-goals.138235/#post-1496036
I ordered an SCT tuner Monday, and will get the GH tune for auto octane just to get started. It will be my go-to tune when traveling and octane is questionable.
Next, I would like to order the catch can and tune(s) from Brad for 93 octane. I have new plugs and the K&N drop-in as well as the three bar.
Questions:
Where is the best place to buy the catch can?
When data-logging for Brad, did you ever experience any of the disconcerting issues spelled out on this thread for the v11?
I'm thinking I would get my best data log climbing a ramp to a freeway where the speed limit is 70mph. Does that sound do-able?
Do you have a factory fuel pump?
Since we are in very different climates, I'm aware that the cold in Northern Ohio may add a variable that I will have to deal with.
Thanks for your help.
