Well,
Long story short, my CPO with 13000 miles was in accident which wasn’t disclosed by dealer or repaired correctly. Dealer is struggling with accepting responsibility, so hopefully this isn’t dragged to court.
My other concern is vehicle didn’t come with SHO flower style wheels as noted from pictures on dealers showroom floor. I received the half-painted/half-polished 5 stars. Engine cover is also non SHO embroidered.
My question, is there any way to tell from VIN what style wheels came with vehicle? Are the spoke ones they provided SHO optional? Thank you please see attached VIN

If you are talking about the wheels in your profile pic, yes those came with SHO's. You could probably find someone to trade you the flower style wheels if those are your preference.

Good luck with the rest of it tho, that does not sound like a fun time.

I call shenanigans. Someone knows how that car was built. This is what HVBOM (historical vehicle build of materials) is for. It lists what parts the car was built with. Also the parts catalog should only call out the wheel that car was built with when filtered by VIN.

I know my 16 came with flower wheels. There is no mention of alternate wheels listed on the window sticker. Can someone confirm that has the alternate wheels that it shows on their sticker?

I have come across cars that have had wheels swapped. If you have the wrong wheels they are not covered under bumper to bumper so you have to have proof of purchase for a service part warranty.

I believe this was a wheel swap as well, with this being a high volume dealer. I have pictures of the existing wheels prior to this “bait and switch”. Ford customer service is useless, as I’ve spent hours of waiting on the phone only to talk to overseas representives who don’t know their **** from their elbow. Do you have your window sticker available for reference? What about engine hood cover? Thank you for feedback!

Since this was off lease vehicle from same dealer I purchased from, shouldn’t they have these records?

All dealerships have acess to HVBOM. They just have to know about it.

Your vin is 1fahp2kt766118748. Let me do some looking.

My sticker only varies in the fact I special ordered my car with bronze fire metallc paint, and performance package.

I double confirmed. Your car should have come with service part DG1Z1007L. This is the flower wheel as noted above from HVBOM.

Your car should have the SHO engine cover too.

You sir, are a gentleman! Will keep posted how this all plays out. I’m letting my local dealer discuss this case with GM of other dealership, who is still hesitant on accepting responsibility.

I actually prefer the star type wheels on the car over the flower style. However, is there a price difference between the 2? This will be a point if case goes to court. Thanks again!

HEY! if you want, I'll swap you wheels! I hate my flowers! I'm struggling with purchasing a brand new set like Jason has on his SHO - a very nice Curva Concept wheel package with 9.5 width and 275 tires! But, for now I'd be happy with those 5 spoke ones!

Thanks for the offer, but I don’t intend to contest wheels. Just trying to figure out what vehicle was missing. Johnbigdog was a big help here.
I do have 2 five spoke I purchased from Craigslist which I was intending to put winter tires on. Let me know if your interested in the 2, as I’m leaning towards the 9.5 wheels for summer purpose. Thank you
