I do like how it comes up over the edge more. I don't remember why I went with the weather tech probably because the photos at the time didn't really show the difference. Nor did I know what I was looking for. Could have been the weather tech was only one I could find to ship to Alaska had to search all over eBay

I don't remember how I found the husky ones because I wasn't looking for them and don't have complaints about the weather tech mats I have had on other cars. But for the Taurus at least the do cover a little better and are cheaper too.

Looks good! Strange how the manufacturer overlooked that, but your modification looks like it came that way. How does it secure and does it cut down on the glare?

I wrote to the manufacturers and ask them about it and they said that's how their patterns are so I sent them photos and they're going to reevaluate how they cut the pattern out for these cars. Glare oh no there is definitely no glare that's why I love dash covers never had a car without it. It scares pretty good with little strips of Velcro nothing that damage the dash

I installed Weather Tech Mats, Driver/Passenger, trunk cargo liner...all grey.

I ordered K&N replacement air filter.

I scheduled an appointment this week for window tint, 35% all around ( legal )

Only 350 miles.... let the addiction begin.

Did 'my' first oil change, first couple at local shop. Ordered a fumoto plug to make future changes easier. Got under the car for the first time to look at what hijinks it would take to get the ground cover off. Holy ****, four quick-bolts and it's off - by hand!! I almost had to change my pants I was so excited! So tired of having to track down different bolts/screws and remember which goes into what hole. This is awesome!

Hardwired my Valentine 1 today. Used one of the mini-fuse taps as shown in another thread. Now, need to see what I can do to stop the almost constant rear falsing....from what I understand...due to the the blind spot system. Update because I "just had to know".... Turning off POP has stopped the rear false. There is an update that I can send the unit in to have done. I may just send the other unit from the Excursion and then swap 'em...

I mounted the V1 over the rear view mirror on the driver's side. To fix the issue of the suction cups not sticking to the "matrix" stuff on the glass in that location, I cut a small, thin piece of plexiglass and used 3M emblem tape to secure it to the glass. I've used this method my last 2 daily drivers, a 2003 Cobra and my '06 Lincoln. My only change in this application was to only put the tape on the part of the plexiglass that would be against the black part of the glass.

I'm really happy with how the whole thing worked out. Pics show the plexiglass piece, the V1 in the car and the outside view through the windshield.

Well, I hate to sound stupid, but I'm pretty sure it's the V11, 93 octane. I didn't see anything with version number on. But that's supposed to be the newest available.

I run the soft shifting version of that tune. As my DD and doing mostly city driving, the aggressive shifts got old for me. Request it from them and try it out!

Thanks, that's good info. She really does shift differently now. But I've only driven it twice with the tune and wasn't thinking about that as compared to how much more torque it has and how quickly it accelerated.

Glad that you enjoy the soft shift version of the tune, not everyone loves the aggressive feel 24/7 which is why we offer this one as well!

Don't get me wrong,I love the car, but of the dozens of cars I've owned over the years this thing is by far the most unreliable and prone to stuff breaking. I mean how does control arm break on a 3 year old car with 30k miles, or go through batteries every 2 years like a damn motorcycle.
The battery dying is not really the cars fault. The climate plays the biggest role. Here in Dallas, 2-3 years is the norm for a battery.
