Ok did the muffler delete...and the drone is unbearable...will cherry bombs help?

I started driving my car cross country after doing the muffler delete and it's absolutely horrendous.....any recommendations on a muffler aftermarket to reinstall in place of the delete pipes? I also have 3rd cat and res delete.. I was thinking just bolting some cherry bombs in their where the blank pipe is

My neighbor who is a fellow gearhead said it sounded like his kids Honda civic with a fart pipe exhaust. Noooooooo lol

I did lol. I'm installing resonators on Friday. Its not completely unbearable driving around the city, but on the road trip I took, 4 hours just about made my head explode

You need a straight through design resonator. NO BAFFLES. And it needs to be installed as close to the turbos as possible. Having it mounted close to the turbo knocks down the reverb, resulting in a quieter exhaust. But by all means, get one that is straight through.

I have the 3rd muffler deleted and the rear mufflers replaced with resonators. Even with the 2 resonators, the drone right around 2500 rpms was AWFUL. It was pretty bad because driving around town it would shift around 3000 rpms and the rpms would always be in the drone range until I got to speed. Here's a link to my fix and I would highly recommend it if you're having drone problems at a specific RPM range.

Yeah I have a 2011 non PP and I did replaced my mufflers with straight pipe (while still having cats and no tune) and my god it was the worst Experience ever. I sounded like the ricer kid with the Honda unfortunately, not to mention the loss of back pressure was crazy. When I would accelerate my rpms would just shoot to the roof with that god awful fart can noise as well. Ended up getting some flowmaster mufflers for cheap and they sound awesome. Perfect tone. Jesus! My local exhaust shop would charge me my first born to make something like that :/ Damnit I wish I had a welder lol. I'm going to install the resonators tomorrow and see how bad it sounds. I'm actually getting used to it now, it only sounds like crap when I punch it. I'll try to upload a video clip

silversho is correct in his method to eliminate drone. My solution is the same. I have a 2011 Mustang GT that was used as the test mule for
solo-performance exhaust. I spent 4 days in Hamilton Ontario Canada. There they made jigs from my car for the 11-14 GT's. The nice thing about their system is the "J" pipe is adjustable so it can be tailored to work with any car. All cars dont drone at the same rpm. I've had it on my car for 3 years and it totally eliminated the drone and it sounds pretty incredible. They have been in business for 50 yrs or more so they know exhaust.. I've mentioned before that I was going to contact Jeff at Solo and see if he could make a custom system for my SHO. I'm going to be waiting till spring but if anybody is interested they could contact Solo and ask if they are going to enter the SHO arena. That is their signature exhaust solution to fix drone. Check out their web site to see the layout of their pipes. worth the visit to see how it's done for a business. Check out any of their performance kits, doesn't matter really cause their basically the same only different to fit each car. I am
going to pursue their system whether they become kits or its a total custom.

I thought about building one with adjustable length. But ultimately after modeling in a couple audio simulators I felt confident in my initial design/calculations and figured it wouldn't be too hard to add/remove pipe if needed. Since I wasn't very concerned about looks since it's hidden under the car I wasn't too afraid to do it twice if needed. Luckily, everything turned out great.
